America’s Got Talent Season 18 September 27, 2023 Episode Is The Finale. Season 19 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed season 18 of America’s Got Talent, especially since it most certainly did end with tonight’s LIVE, finale episode 24. That means tonight’s episode 24 be the very last episode of America’s Got Talent that you’ll ever see for all of eternity.
The reason we say it like that is because NBC hasn’t officially renewed America’s Got Talent for a brand new season 19 at the time of this writing. Given America’s Got Talent’s track record, we think NBC will certainly get around to renewing it at some point in the future. However, right this minute, it’s future is technically unclear. So, we had to put in that disclaimer.
What we can do since we don’t have an official season 19 renewal announcement to confirm is take a look at the LIVE ratings and viewership numbers that America’s Got Talent season 18 put up for NBC and come up with an educated guess about the show’s future. So, let’s do that right now.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, America’s Got Talent’s current season 18 averaged 5.532 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.56 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 22 that aired last night, September 26, 2023 managed to draw in 5.536 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.56 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 2 with 6.144 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 10 with 4.401 million LIVE viewers. The highest rated episode was episode 2 with a 0.68 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 18 with a 0.41 ratings score.
Judging from those numbers, we would be highly surprised if NBC didn’t renew America’s Got Talent for a new season 19, especially since it’s a summer show. It’s so hard to get a summer show that can deliver those kind of numbers. Again, I don’t think you guys have anything to worry about in regards to America’s Got Talent eventually getting renewed for a new season 19 next summer.
