Survivor November 22, 2023 Voted Off Kendra McQuarrie (Recap)

Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, November 22, 2023, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 45 did indeed hit the air tonight, and another unlucky contestant did get voted off in a blindside. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with talk of the last tribal council meeting that sent Kellie home in major blindside fashion.

Jake told the private cams that he had a total wrong read on everyone during that tribal council meeting, and he’s just glad he’s still around. They told Bruce that Kellie was gunning for him, which is why she went home.

Bruce told the private cams, “I was devastated to learn Kellie was gunning for me. I was shocked to learn that she thought I was too overbearing. That’s not my personality.”

Kendra was seen telling Katurah, “I want to take out Dee.” Austin told the private cams, that his amulet he shared with Kellie is now a full immunity idol. He also said he wants to go after Jake, Bruce and Kendra because they’re trying to come after his alliance. Bruce told the private cams, “Learning about Kellie has made me scared. I don’t know where I am in this game now.” He said that it really bothered him that Kellie thought he was overbearing.

Emily pitched the idea of trying to get out Dee to Drew and Austin. They were hesitant to do that. So, Emily told the private cams, “That’s starting to make me rethink my alliance with them.”

Next, everyone got a note, which informed them that they had to divide into 3 groups of three. They were confused about what might happen next. So, Austin gave one of his immunity idols to Julie to make sure she stays safe.

After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new immunity challenge. It was a 3-stage challenge that they performed in groups of three that they formed earlier. In the first stage, they had to get through a couple of obstacle courses. Only two teams advanced to the second stage.

In the 2nd stage, they had to get through some more obstacles and shoot some balls into three baskets. Only one team advanced to the final, 3rd stage. In the 3rd stage, they were no longer a team and were competing individually. The 3rd-stage comp was an endurance one, which required them to hold up discs with both their arms for as long as they could for the win. The team who lost the first stage also lost their vote at the next tribal council meeting, but would get a chance to win it back by taking a special journey.

Emily, Austin and Katurah ended up losing the first stage. So, they lost their vote. In the end , it came down to Julie, Kendra and Bruce in the 3rd and final stage, and Bruce pulled off the win to claim immunity for a second time in a row. For making it to the final stage, Bruce, Kendra and Julie also got a reward, which was a trip to the sanctuary and a delicious chicken meal.

Dee told the private cams, “Kendra needs to go because she’s been putting my name out there as a target.” At the sanctuary feast with Kendra, Julie and Bruce, Julie told the private cams, “Kendra wants Dee out, but I would never vote Dee out. I wanna to see Jake go next.” Julie pitched the idea to Bruce of voting Jake out next, and he seemed to agree in that moment. Kendra seemingly came around to agreeing to vote out Jake.

Austin, Emily and Katurah tried to get their tribal council votes back on their special journey trip. To win their votes back, they had to complete a logic math puzzle. They were given 3 minutes to complete an equation. Katurah lost, Austin won and Emily lost. So, Austin was the only one to earn his vote back. Katurah and Emily had to go into the next tribal council meeting with no vote to offer.

Austin told Dee and Drew that he won his vote back. Then, Dee told the private cams, “I have to take Kendra out.” Julie told Dee that she, Kendra and Bruce decided to vote out Jake. Dee told Julie, “I want Kendra out.” Julie didn’t agree with that. Kendra told Emily that Jake is the target, and Emily seemed to agree with that.

However, Drew told Emily that the vote is for Kendra to go. Emily said,”I’m surprised to hear that.” Emily told the private cams, “There are bigger threats than Kendra.” Emily told Drew that she wants Jake out. So, Drew brought up possibly changing the vote to Jake. However, Dee told Drew, “Kendra is coming for me. So, I need to go after her.”

At the tribal council meeting, they just did some general game talk before casting their votes, and Jake ended up getting 1 vote while Kendra got a whopping votes. So, with the 4 votes, Kendra was indeed voted off. She was mute at this point, and didn’t have anything to say to anyone on the way out. She just looked back at everyone and smiled a little bit.

Kendra told the private cams, “I just got blindsided. Clearly, the stars weren’t aligned. This was the greatest adventure I ever had, and I’m still grateful for the opportunity.” How do you guys feel about Kendra McQuarrie getting voted off Survivor season 45 in this episode?
