Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces with some excellent news. The ABC people will finally serve up the next, new episode 9 of 20/20’s current season 46 tonight, December 8, 2023 after having delayed it for the last couple of weeks. That’s right, guys. The wait is finally over tonight, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
We were able to get a hold of an official press release for tonight’s new, December 8. 2023 episode 9 straight from ABC. So, that is certainly what we’ll be referencing for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
The first thing ABC let us know is that tonight’s new, episode 9 of 20/20 season 46 is officially labeled/titled,”Diary Of A Killer.”
In tonight’s new, December 8, 2023 episode, the 20/20 team will take a deep look at a story about a New Jersey woman named, Angela Bledsoe. She was a beloved mother and successful financial analyst before she was found dead in her house.
The investigators who worked this case immediately started looking at Angela’s longtime boyfriend James Ray III as a possible suspect. He had apparently left town and eventually led the investigators on an international chase. This case took a lot of startling twists and turns before FBI agents were able to track him down and capture him in Cuba via a rare extradition case.
Co-anchor Deborah Roberts handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It features interviews with Angela’s 11-year-old daughter; Ray and Gaynelle Bledsoe, Angela’s parents; Lisa LaBoo and Diedre Hill, Angela’s sisters; Brooke Dean, Angela’s cousin; Michele Miller, Essex County assistant prosecutor; Theodore N. Stephens II., acting Essex County prosecutor; and John Petillo, former Essex County assistant prosecutor.
This episode also includes interviews with Mattie Simms, James’ cousin; Sgt. Frank Ricci and Lt. Charlie Cunningham; and FBI special agent Brandon Lackey, who arrested Ray in Cuba. The episode also includes recorded phone calls Ray made in the hours right after the killing, as well as an inside look at the diary he kept while on the run, where he chronicled his life on the lam.

ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 9 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to finally hit your TV screens tonight, December 8, 2023, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
