New General Hospital January 1, 2024 Episode Delayed, Preempted. Not Airing
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. Unfortunately, we’re on here to deliver some bad news to you guys. Yep, it turns out that the folks over at ABC are not airing a new episode of General Hospital tomorrow afternoon, January 1, 2024. That’s right, guys. ABC apparently has one other TV obligation that they will be honoring tomorrow afternoon, and we’ll let you know what that is a little later on in this article.
First, we want to let you guys know that according to the TV guide listings, ABC does plan to finally air the next, new episode of General Hospital this Tuesday afternoon, January 2, 2024 in its usual, 1 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to look for the next, new episode to hit your TV screens at that time.
Ok, so we found out what CBS is going to air instead of a new Young And The Restless episode tomorrow afternoon. According to the TV guide listings, CBS is going to provide LIVE coverage of a Citrus Bowl, college football game event featuring the Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the Tennessee Volunteers.
ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of this Citrus Bowl, college football game reads like this,”College Football. Cheez-It Citrus Bowl: Iowa vs. Tennessee LIVE. The No. 17 Hawkeyes play the No. 21 Volunteers in the Citrus Bowl. Tennessee is 5-1 in the postseason since 2014, a stretch that began with a win over Iowa in the Gator Bowl. Iowa, 4-1 in bowls since 2017, was shut out in the Big Ten title game.”
If any of you guys happen to be college football fans, you might still want to flip on ABC to check out this game. On the other hand, if you have absolutely no desire to watch a college football game, you will certainly want to skip watching ABC tomorrow afternoon at that time and make some other plans if you haven’t already.
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we were able to track down a official teaser description for the next, new, January 2, 2024 episode. It reads like this, “Carly receives life-altering news. Sonny confronts Michael. Olivia gets angry with Lois. Sam grapples with how to co-parent with Drew and Willow comes to Nina for help.”
Again, it’s been confirmed that General Hospital will be a repeat episode tomorrow afternoon, January 1, 2024. The next, new episode is scheduled to finally show up this Tuesday afternoon, January 2, 2024. Both of these episodes will air in the 1 pm central standard time slot.
