New 20/20 January 26, 2024 Two Hour Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back with some wonderful news because ABC will indeed serve up another new edition of 20/20 tonight, January 26, 2024. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 14th installment of 20/20’s current season 46,and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
ABC served up an official press release for tonight’s new, January 26, 2024 episode 14. So, we will certainly see what it has to say for this preview session. Let’s do it.
For starters, there is an official title for this new episode 14 of 20/20 season 46. It’s called, “Gypsy Rose The Next Act.” In tonight’s new, January 26, 2024 episode 14, the 20/20 team will take a deep look at a story about a woman named Gypsy-Rose Blanchard. She lived in a wheelchair and allegedly suffered from multiple ailments including: leukemia, seizures and muscular dystrophy. Gypsy and her mother Dee Dee spoke at conferences, met celebrities and received a home from Habitat for Humanity.
However, back in 2015, things would never be the same again because the police found Dee Dee stabbed to death right inside her own house, and Gypsy and her secret boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn were immediately tagged as the main suspects.
The experts said this was probably a case of Munchausen by proxy. It’s a form of abuse where a parent or guardian exaggerates or induces illness in a child to fill a desire for attention and sympathy. Gypsy said she was a healthy young woman. In this episode, Gypsy is going to sit down with the 20/20 team and talk about her life in prison after getting released, how she’s dealing with her past and newfound fame. 20/20 co-anchor Deborah Roberts handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
This episode will also feature interviews with: Lt. Stan Hancock, the lead detective on the case, Sheriff Jim Arnott; Mike Stanfield, Gypsy’s defense attorney; Rod and Kristy Blanchard, Gypsy’s father and stepmother; Aleah Woodmansee, Gypsy’s neighbor and friend; and Dr. Bernardo Flasterstein, a pediatric neurologist who treated Gypsy and suspected Munchausen by proxy. Additional interviews include Dr. Mary Sanders, a Stanford professor and leading expert on Munchausen by proxy abuse, and EJ Dickson, a writer for Rolling Stone who reported on the case.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 14 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “ALL-NEW ’20/20′ FEATURES DEEP DIVE INTO THE DEE DEE AND GYPSY-ROSE BLANCHARD STORY OF MURDER, FAMILY, ABUSE, ROMANCE AND DECEPTION. Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s first interview on lies, murder and her social media fame. This Program Features the First Interview With Gypsy After Her Release From Prison and an Exclusive Interview With the Lead Detective on the Case.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 14 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, January 26, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
