The Amazing Race March 27, 2024 Eliminated Anthony & Bailey (Recap)
Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, March 27, 2024, another new episode of The Amazing Race’s current season 36 did indeed hit the air, and another team did get eliminated at the very end. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the remaining teams, learning they had to hit up Guatapé, Colombia to start off this next leg of the race. Once they got there, they had to climb over 700 stairs to the top of El Peñón de Guatapé to get their next clue.
Their next clue featured their detours. They had to choose to do either the “Bandeja Paisa” detour or “Yipao” detour. In the “Bandeja Paisa” detour, the teams had to prepare three plates of bandeja paisa to get their next clue. In the “Yipao” detour, the teams had to load a Jeep with furniture to get their next clue.
At one point, Michelle & Sean chose to switch to the Yipao Detour. Anthony & Bailey also decided to switch up detours midway through.
After the teams successfully completed their detours, they were told to go to El Cordero de Guatapé to get their next clue. When they got there, they were hit with a Roadblock challenge. It required one team member to harvest and process one kilogram of Arabica beans.
At one point, Michelle & Sean found the location of the Roadblock and tried to make their way down the hill, but it was very high and slippery. So much so that Sean refused to go down the hill, saying, “It’s too high. I’m not doing it. I can’t do it.” Eventually, Michelle convinced him to go ahead and do it though.
After successfully completing the Roadblock detours, the teams had to head to Casa Loma Finca Cafetera, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.
Ricky & Cesar showed up at the pit stop in first place and won a trip for two to Capetown, South Africa from Expedia. Amber and Vinny took second place. Derek and Shelisa came in 3rd place. Juan and Shane finished 4th. Rod and Leticia claimed the 5th spot.
Yvonne and Melissa came in 6th place. Sunny and Bizzy finished 7th. Kishori & Karishma took the 8th spot. Angie & Danny came in 9th place. Michelle & Sean took the very important 10th place to just narrowly avoid getting eliminated. So, poor Anthony and Bailey show up last and were eliminated.
