New American Idol March 31, 2024 Hollywood Week Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We’re back in action today to let you know that another new episode of American Idol is hitting your TV sets tonight, March 31, 2024. This one will be the 6th episode of this current season 22, and we have some new, very interesting preview details for it.
ABC gave us an official press release for tonight’s new episode 6. So, we will start off with that and then get into the more juicier stuff that we got from the folks over at MJSbigblog.com. Let’s get to it.
According to ABC, tonight’s new, March 31, 2024 episode 6 will feature the Hollywood week round. They’re calling it, “Idol Arena.” In this Idol Arena edition, you guys are going to see all the contestants that made it past the audition rounds do only one, solo performance for the celebrity judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lioonel Richie.
After that, they’ll either get cut or make it through to the next, Showstoppers round. ABC is telling us that this episode will feature the biggest cut in the history of the show.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, March 31, 2024 episode 6 of American Idol season 22 reads like this, “American Idol: Hollywood Week – Idol Arena.” It’s Hollywood Week, and the pressure is on for Idol finalists, with only one chance to perform for judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie in the first-ever Idol Arena. Who will survive the biggest cut in Idol history? Ryan Seacrest hosts.”
Some additional details from MJSbigblog.com reveals that 143 contestants made it through to the Hollywood week round. It will be condensed into just this one episode.
After this round is done, only about 57 contestants will move on to the Showstoppers round. The Platinum Ticket holders Abi Carter, Odell Bunton Jr. and Julia Gagnon will not have to compete in this Idol Arena round.
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 6 of American Idol’s current season 22 is indeed scheduled to arrive tonight, March 31, 2024, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
