New American Idol May 12, 2024 Top 5 Contestants Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We’re back in action to give guys some more new preview intel for American Idol. Tonight, May 12, 2024, ABC is dishing up another new, LIVE performance/results episode. This one will be the 17th episode of this season 22.
ABC put out an official press release for tonight’s new episode 17. So, we will certainly use it as a source for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
The first thing ABC let us know about tonight’s new episode 17 is that the theme is Disney Night. That means you guys are going to see the remaining, top 5 contestants sing only songs that are from the Disney catalog. Each contestant will perform a total of two songs.
30 year old American singer Kane Brown will be featured in this episode as a guest mentor to the contestants for these specific performances. 67 year old American actress and singer Jenifer Lewis will show up to do a special performance at some point.
Then, after all of the performances wrap up, America will get the opportunity to cast their LIVE votes for their favorite contestants, and the top 3 vote-getters will advance to the finale. That means that two, unfortunate contestants will get eliminated at the end of tonight’s new episode. So, brace yourselves for that.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, LIVE episode 17 of American Idol season 22 reads like this, “American Idol (Disney Night) LIVE. The top five each perform two beloved favorites from the Disney songbook as America votes for the top three heading to the finale; guest mentor Kane Brown; Jenifer Lewis performs.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that American Idol is showing up with another new episode tonight, May 12, 2024, and it’s scheduled to start at approximately 7 pm central standard time. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
