Survivor November 20 Voted Off Gabe Ortis (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, November 20, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky contestant did indeed get voted off at the end. Tonight’s new episode kicked off with talk about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Sol packing for the jury with a major blindside.
Teeny told the private cams, “I’m pissed off about being blindsided by the vote. I was completely in the dark.” Genevieve told the private cams, “I knew there would be fallout from the Sol vote, but I didn’t expect Teeny to take it so hard.” At one point, Andy told Kyle he would like to work with him.
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new reward challenge. They split them up into three teams of three. The teams were: Genevieve, Sue and Teeny in yellow. Andy, Caroline and Gabe in red, and Kyle, Rachel and Sam in blue.
During the challenge, they had to crawl on their knees and move a ball through sand obstacles. Then, roll 3 bolls into a hole that was located on a table for the win. The team of: Sam, Kyle and Rachel won.
Their reward was a trip to the sanctuary for a feast and desserts. At the feast, Sam, Rachel and Kyle talked about targeting Gabe. Sam told the private cams, “I would love to get Gabe out of this game. He’s a massive strategic force.” Rachel told the private cams that she wants to vote off Genevieve.
Sam told Rachel he wants to play the game with her. She told him she’s having a hard time trusting him since he ran to Sol and told him about their plans to vote him off at the last tribal council meeting.
Andy told Sue he thinks they could make it to the final two together. She seemed to agree with him. Andy told Sue that he calls her dumb. Sue said, “I can’t wait to write Kyle’s name down.”
Gabe told the private cams, “Kyle might need to leave this game.” Sam campaigned to Andy and Teeny about targeting Gabe. However, Sam told the private cams, “I might burn them tomorrow.” Teeny told the private cams, “I am interested in working with Sam.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new immunity challenge. During it, they had to balance three balls on a wooden disk. The last one standing, won. Jeff did a rice negotiation with them. He told them if four people sat out, they would get a bag of rice. They all offered to give up their shot in the dark instead, and Jeff agreed to it. So, they all lost their shot in the dark.
It came down to Sue and Kyle, and Kyle edged her out for the win for immunity. Sue told the private cams that Kyle saved himself with that win. So, he foiled some plans to vote him off for sure.
Sam, Andy and Teeny talked about targeting Gabe. Teeny told the private cams she would like to see Genevieve walk out the door. Gabe told the private cams that he wants Genevieve out too. Gabe told Caroline that he wants to see him, her and Sue make it to the final three.
Caroline told the private cams, “If I can get Gabe out, I can start playing my own game.” So, she campaigned to Andy to get Gabe out. Rachel told the private cams that she thinks Genevieve going before Gabe would be better for her game. Rachel told Andy that she wants to get Genevieve out next.
Both Gabe and Genevieve did get tipped off about them being targets at the next tribal council meeting. So, there would be no blindside in this one. They were both shaking in their boots, heading into the tribal council meeting.
At the tribal council meeting, they did some general game talk before casting their votes. Genevieve got 2 votes, and Gabe received a whopping 5 votes. So, with the 5 vtes, Gabe gave everyone a hug and said, “I’ll be back on the way out.”
Gabe told the private cams,”I felt really good about my chances of getting to the end. I played as hard as I wanted to play, and I have a good feeling that I’ll be back some day.”
