Animal Control New Season 5 Is Happening. FOX Renewed It
Tonight, FOX will air the finale episode 12 of Animal Control’s current season 4. So, after that, there won’t be anymore new episodes for a while, but not forever because we can happily confirm with you ,right now, that FOX did indeed renew the comedy series for a brand new season 5.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com , FOX actually renewed it early back in February 2026. So, they were quite confident in the show’s performance.
It also didn’t hurt that FOX actually owns all the rights to the show. It’s produced by FOX Entertainment and not some outside studio. This allows FOX to make quite a bit of money off of it. FOX also recently licensed the show to the Netflix platform and internationally, giving them even more revenue off of it.
FOX is reporting that Animal Control is actually there number one comedy series in total viewers. Michael Thorn who is the President of FOX Television Network said some really nice things about the show and its staff during the renewal announcement stating, “With the writing, ensemble, and audience response all landing at new levels, renewing Animal Control was an easy decision.
The series launched to new highs in its fourth season, which is a direct reflection of the show’s continued creative growth, outstanding producing team, and the incredible Joel McHale as our lead.”
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Animal control season 4 managed to average 1.414 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.27 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The most recent episode 11, which aired last Thursday night, April 16, 2026, brought in 1.116 million LIVE viewers along with a 0.20 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 5.440 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 6 with 719,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 1.20 score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.12 ratings score.
