New ‘Riverdale’ Season 2 Premiere Episode 1 Official Teaser Description Revealed By The CW
Hey, “Riverdale” fans. It’s time to get extra excited because The CW has finally put out the very first press release for the big premiere episode 1 of the show’s upcoming second season! The press release gives a brief teaser description of what we can expect to see in the episode.
It definitely sounds like things will get extremely intense as Fred’s life will be hanging by a thread. Veronica’s father Hiram shows up. Jughead and Betty start questioning Fred’s shooter’s true motives and more. The press release also revealed that this episode is titled, “Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying.”
We had already revealed the title during the summer, but we thought we’d go ahead and mention it again for those of you who didn’t get the first memo. Their main description starts off by using all capital words: “THE ANGEL OF DEATH.” So, that seems pretty interesting and chilling.
The first storyline they revealed is definitely Fred’s. They say that Fred’s life will definitely be hanging in the balance after getting shot at Pop’s diner in the season 1 finale episode! The big question here is will Fred survive the shooting? We think he will, but he’ll definitely never be the same. It’ll be interesting to see how Fred’s storyline continues to develop.
Next, they revealed that things certainly won’t be good for Archie. They say that he’s going to struggle with the emotional aftermath of just witnessing Fred get shot! Based on some photos we’ve seen for the premiere, he will be rushing Fred to the hospital and panicking like nobody’s business!
In this third teaser, they revealed that Veronica (Camila Mendes) will have a lot of things going on in this one. They say she’ll be very busy stepping outside of her comfort zone to try and support Archie in this difficult time. She’s also going to find out that her father Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) has arrived in Riverdale way more earlier than she expected.
How will Veronica react to her father’s arrival? That’s a really huge question for this particular storyline. We think it will definitely give us some intriguing scenes to look forward to. There’s no doubt about that.
In the fourth teaser, they revealed that we’ll be seeing a guest appearance from Pop Tate (played by guest star Alvin Sanders). He will show up at Pop’s diner to recount the chilling details of what happened during the horrific shooting. His statements are going to prompt Jughead and Betty to start questioning the gunman’s true motives. What will Betty and Jughead come up with? That’s the big question for this particular storyline. It should be interesting to see where there investigation will take them.
This fifth and final teaser reveals that we’ll be seeing Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petch) in action along with Kevin (Casey Cott). They say Kevin and Betty will end up seeing Cheryl at the same hospital as Fred. When they do, they will be shocked to hear that her freaking entire house was burned to the ground! So, that sounds like it will be a pretty interesting and dramatic scene. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode and it was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
The CW also released some promo photos for episode 1. We’ve included one (above) that features Betty and Jughead having a very intense-looking moment. There’s a pic that features Veronica in a scene with Betty and Jughead. It looks pretty intense. So, expect to see that take place. Veronica is also pictured giving Archie an emotional hug.
Josey and the Pussycats are also seen showing up at the hospital. So, it looks like we’re going to see just about the whole town show up there to support Fred. Archie and Reggie are pictured in a scene. There’s a photo of Veronica’s father Hiram Lodge in a scene and he looks pretty serious. We’ll definitely see him bring some new issues. Alright guys.
