Fortnite Has Brought Back The ’14 Days Of Fortnite’ Event

Happy Sunday,”Fortnite” fans. We’ve got big news for you guys today. It turns out that Epic Games, the creator behind the very popular Fortnite video game, are indeed bringing back the 14 Days Of Fortnite event after the crazy mix-up that happened with the event’s end date.

According to Eurogamer.net, the original 14 Days Of Fortnite event ended a couple of days earlier than it was supposed to. That was back on January 2, 2019. Most players believed that it was supposed to last until January 3 or 4, 2019. During that time, Epic games tried to throw in some type of compensation for the confusion. They tried to give away the Equalizer Glider.

But now, they’re thinking that wasn’t a good enough consolation. In light of that, they’ve decided to just bring the entire event back so players can have a second crack at it. Epic Games made a big blog post about the return of “14 Days Of Fortnite.” In it, they confessed to their blunder of communicating the wrong end date.

They went on to explain that this second 14 Days Of Fortnite event will last until January 15, 2019 at approximately 3 am eastern standard time. Players will be able to earn all of the reward points they missed out on. However, any progress that was partially completed during the first “14 Days Of Fortnite” has been reset.

Epic Game’s full, official statement reads like this, “We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach. After further discussion, we’ve decided to bring back this event early next week through January 15 at 3 AM ET (8 am UK time). We’ll also be enabling some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that were available during the event.

Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on. All Challenges will be available to complete for the entire duration of the event. Unfortunately, progress on partially completed challenges has to be reset. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!”

PCgamer.com is also reporting that Epic Games will still be giving away the Equalizer Glider for free. Anyone who completed at least one of the 14 Days challenges will still be given the glider.
