New NCIS Season 17 Premiere Date Officially Revealed By CBS
Hey, “NCIS” fans. It is finally that time for you guys to learn when your favorite show will officially be back in action with its brand new season 17! The lovely folks over at CBS did indeed release their premiere dates for their Fall 2019 schedule.
So, with no further ado, the brand new 17th season of NCIS is currently scheduled to start up on Tuesday night, September 24, 2019 in its same 7 pm central time slot that all of you have grown accustomed to. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.
Since the show is keeping its same night and time slot, you guys won’t have to make any changes to your schedules to watch it. Just start tuning back into it like you always do, starting on that September 24, 2019 date.
If any of you guys are fans of the “NCIS: New Orleans” spin off, you’ll be happy to know that its new, 6th season will be premiering on the same night as NCIS in its same 9 pm central standard time slot.
Then taking that middle 8 pm central time slot is the second season premiere of FBI. Some of you may have grown to become fans of FBI during its first season run. If you did, be on the lookout for that one too. We do know it garnered up some fans since it got a season 2 renewal. CBS doesn’t just hand those out lightly.
Getting back to NCIS, we still don’t have an episode count for the upcoming 17th season. So, that’s something we will still have to keep an eye out for. Judging from its season 16 viewership and LIVE ratings numbers, we certainly won’t be surprised if it easily gets another full season, 24 episode order from CBS. We think that will also be the case for “NCIS: New Orleans.”
We have the official numbers for the NCIS season 16 finale episode 24 that aired way back on May 21, 2019. It drew in a whopping 12.095 million LIVE viewers, and got a 1.15 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
Those are fantastic numbers, especially when you consider that’s actually what the show averaged. It wasn’t just that one night. The show consistently brought in that many freaking viewers. It’s basically a gem for CBS.
The “NCIS: New Orleans” 5th season didn’t do too shabby either. Their season 5 finale episode 24 brought in 6.930 million LIVE viewers and a 0.64 ratings score. It actually averaged 7.287 million LIVE viewers per episode.
Also, we decided to look at the numbers for FBI’s first season since it got a season 2 renewal and is paired up with these NCIS shows, which are ratings giants. Apparently,FBI was definitely able to hold its own in spades!
This freaking show averaged a whopping 9.083 million LIVE viewers per freaking episode! It averaged a 0.97 ratings score. Folks, that is absolutely amazing, especially when you consider that was just its first season.
It’s already up there on the level of an NCIS show. It’ll definitely be interesting to see if it can deliver those same strong numbers in its second season. Did any of you guys become fans of FBI during its first season run? Let us know in the comments section.
As for any NCIS season 17 spoilers, the only one we’ve seen is the confirmation that Cote de Pablo will return to reprise her Ziva David role in a guest capacity. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any additional season 17 scoops that pop up.
As far as we know, all the main castmembers should be back in action for season 17. If we hear otherwise, we’ll certainly let you guys know.
Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest NCIS report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
