‘Prodigal Son’ Season 1, November 18, 2019 Episode 9 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “Prodigal Son” fans. If you flipped on FOX earlier tonight, November 18, 2019, we’re sure most of you were quite disappointed to see that the brand new episode 9 of this current season 1 did not air.
Yeah, for some reason, FOX didn’t air it. Instead, they are scheduled to air the new episode 9 next Monday night, November 25,2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your TV show calendars right now.
Instead of airing the new episode 9, FOX aired a rerun of Prodigal Son. The rerun they aired was the second episode of this current season 1. That episode is titled,”Annihilator.”
FOX’s official description for it reads like this, “Bright jumps at the chance to help Arroyo solve a quadruple homicide for the NYPD.
As Bright slips into the mind of this serial killer, he finds himself dealing with the repercussions of seeing his father for the first time in years. Tormented by the terrors of his childhood, Bright is faced with whether his nightmares actually happened.”
We do have a bit of good news for you guys in this article. FOX served up a new press release, preview clip and preview photos for the new episode 9. These items do contain some light spoiler teasers.
So, if you don’t like spoilers, we highly recommend that you just close out of this article right now.
If you don’t care about spoilers or actually like to read spoilers, by all means please keep reading this article. Now that we’ve gotten our spoiler warning out of the way, let’s go over this episode 9 press release. It let’s us know that episode 9 is titled, “Pied-A-Terre.’
It sounds like episode 9 will feature some pretty interesting and possible dramatic and intense scenes.
In the new episode 9, Martin is going to be all locked away in solitary confinement. During this time, Martin will try to live a normal lifestyle. Also, the FBI will decide to completely take over the Junkyard Killer case.
Things will work out for Martin’s new normal lifestyle endeavor until he takes on a certain challenge that calls for him to profile his date.
Elsewhere, we will see the NYPD investigate a new homicide situation that could have something to do with a very elaborate underground sex club.
FOX’s official description for episode 9 tells us,”When Martin is locked away in solitary confinement and the FBI takes over the Junkyard Killer case, Malcolm uses his spare time as an excuse to try out a “normal” lifestyle.
Things go well until he accepts a challenge to “profile” his date. Meanwhile, the NYPD tracks a new homicide that’s linked to an elite underground sex club.”
An alternate description reads like this, “BRIGHT ATTEMPTS A “NORMAL” LIFESTYLE.”
The new preview photos for episode 9 features Malcolm quite a bit. He’s seen cracking a smile in one of the photos. Another pic features Malcolm in a scene with a pretty woman. They appear to be having a serious chit chat in front of a pool table.
Malcolm also has a scene with JT in one of the snapshots. Malcolm, Gil,Dani and JT are spotted in some of the pics together as they investigate. You guys can view all of the episode 9 preview photos over on Spoiler TV’s site by Clicking Here.
The new preview clip features Malcolm saying, “This was a crime of passion” while standing over a dead man’s corps. Edrisa says, “It’s probably not the happy ending he was hoping for.”
After that, the clip cuts to Malcolm and the others going over clues. Then Malcolm is spotted in some very passionate scenes.
Finally,the clip caps off with Jessica saying, “Martin destroyed the lives of my children. Maybe it’s time that I find a way to return the favor.”

Episode 9 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Charlayne Woodard as character Dr. Gabrielle Le Deux; Molly Griggs as character Eve Blanchard; Kristen Connolly as character Beth Saverstein; Mara Davi as character Simone; James Cusati-Moyer as character Nico; Jennifer Lim as character Stacy and Carra Patterson as character Tally
The season regulars that will be featured in episode 9 are: Tom Payne as character Malcolm Bright; Michael Sheen as character Dr. Martin Whitly; Bellamy Young as character Jessica Whitly; Lou Diamond Phillips as character Gil Arroyo; Aurora Perrineau as character Dani Powell; Frank Harts as character JT Tarmel; Halston Sage as character Ainsley Whitly and Keiko Agena as character Edrisa Guilfoyle.
Again, FOX’s press release confirmed that episode 9 is indeed scheduled to air next Monday night, November 25, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
