‘Prodigal Son’ Season 1, April 6, 2020 Episode 19 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Prodigal Son” fans. We had to jump on here real quick ,tonight, to break some bad news to you guys. For some reason, FOX has elected not to air the next, new episode 19 of Prodigal Son’s current premiere season 1 tonight, April 6, 2020.

What’s even worse is this delay will continue on into next week. So, we are currently experiencing a two-week break for Prodigal Son.

That will be it though. FOX has confirmed that the new episode 19 is indeed scheduled to air on Monday night, April 20, 2020 in its usual 8 pm central standard time slot. So, you guys should definitely commit that very important date and time to your memory banks or just get it wrote down on something.

So, what is FOX airing instead of the next, new episode 19 of Prodigal Son’s current season 1 tonight? Well, according to the TV guide listings, FOX will be airing some music concert special called, “FOX PRESENTS THE IHEART LIVING ROOM CONCERT FOR AMERICA.”

FOX’s official description for it reads like this, “A music event to provide entertainment relief and support for Americans to help fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to celebrate the resilience and strength of the nation during this pandemic.”

Then next Monday night, April 13,2020, FOX will air a repeat episode of Prodigal Son. That repeat episode will be the 17th episode of season 1 titled, “Stranger Beside You.”

FOX’s official description for it reads like this, “The NYPD dives into a case surrounding a famous mommy blogger, whose husband was mysteriously stabbed just days after their baby was born.

Meanwhile, Bright finds his way back to Eve, but can’t shake his paranoia that there’s more to her than meets the eye. To help ease his nerves, Ainsley helps him do some investigating and uncovers a secret she has been keeping.”

If that line of programming appeals to any of you guys, you might still want to flip on FOX during this current two-week break. If it doesn’t appeal to you, you will certainly want to get a new schedule together as fast as you can.

With all that said, we were able to track down some new info for the next, new episode 19 of Prodigal Son’s current season 1. The people over at FOX were nice enough to deliver an official press release for episode 19. So, we’re going to dive into it real quick.

Before we do, we must warn you guys that this episode 19 press release does contain a few, light spoiler teasers. So, if you’re one of those people who avoids spoilers like the plague, you will definitely want to exit this article as quick as you can.

On the other hand, if you’re one of those people who seeks out spoilers as if your life depended on it, we think you will definitely want to stick around for the rest of this article.

Alright, now that our spoiler warning is out there in the cosmos, let’s go over this new episode 19 press release. To start, we’ve got an official title for episode 19. It’s called, “The Professionals.”

It sounds like episode 19 will feature some very intense, dramatic, possible action-filled and interesting scenes.

In the new episode 19, a series of catastrophic events will take place, and they will cause Malcolm and Ainsley to think there is way more to Nicholas Endicott than what his first impression gives off.

In light of all this madness, Malcolm and Ainsley will pull off what might be their only hope, which is a very spontaneous, Whitly family reunion.

FOX’s official description for episode 19 reads like this, “After a catastrophic turn of events, Malcolm and Ainsley are convinced there’s more to Nicholas Endicott (guest star Dermot Mulroney) than meets the eye. Their only hope just might be an impromptu Whitly family reunion.”

An alternate description reads like this, “A NEW MONSTER EMERGES ON AN ALL-NEW “PRODIGAL SON.”

Episode 19 features a couple of guest stars. They are: Dermot Mulroney as character Nicholas Endicott; Molly Griggs as character Eve Blanchard; Anna Eilinsfeld as character Sophie; Matthew Lawler as character Eddie; Richard V. Licata as character Ciro and Dagmara Dominczyk as character The Nightingale

The season regulars that will be featured in episode 19 are: Tom Payne as character Malcolm Bright; Michael Sheen as character Dr. Martin Whitly; Bellamy Young as character Jessica Whitly; Lou Diamond Phillips as character Gil Arroyo; Aurora Perrineau as character Dani Powell; Frank Harts as character JT Tarmel; Halston Sage as character Ainsley Whitly and Keiko Agena as character Dr. Edrisa Tanaka

Again, FOX confirmed that the next, new episode 19 of Prodigal Son’s current season 1 is scheduled to air on Monday night, April 20, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
