Seal Team Season 4, May 26, 2021 Episode 16 Is The Finale. Season 5 Is Happening
Hey, “Seal Team” fans. We are back in action with some more very important Seal Team news for you guys. We’ll begin with tonight’s episode 16 by confirming that ,yes indeed, it is the finale episode for season 4, which means season 4 is officially done.
I hope you guys were able to savor every last bit of it tonight. As with most of the other shows, we think that Seal Team had a shorter season this year due to all the problems from the terrible pandemic situation.
The next bit of news is going to get sort of tricky. So, hold onto your seats. Seal Team is officially renewed for a brand new season 5! That’s great news ,of course, but it does come with some caveats.
According to the folks over at TV Line, CBS is going to move Seal Team season 5 over to their Paramount+ streaming network. What’s really weird is they’re going to air the first couple of Seal Team season 5 episodes on CBS, and then they’re just going to switch it over to Paramount+.
So, if you don’t have Paramount+, I guess you won’t get to see the rest of Seal Team season 5 unless they have some deal to let you watch it free with ads. We’re not sure how all of that will work, but that is CBS’ plan for Seal team moving forward.
CBS is also doing this with other shows: Evil season 2 and possibly Clarice season 2. Paramount+ EVP Julie McNamara made a positive statement about acquiring these shows saying, “We are thrilled to bring new seasons of these phenomenal series to Paramount+. We have a strong record of building incredible audiences with these creative teams, including Robert and Michelle King’s incomparable The Good Fight, and we look forward to bringing our subscribers even more seasons of series they love.”
Currently, it is not yet known how many episodes Seal Team season 5 will feature, especially since this whole Paramount+ twist has been thrown into the mix. We’ll have to wait a little bit longer to get more details from CBS and Paramount+.
Seal Team season 4 averaged 3.934 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.48 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 15, which aired last Wednesday night, May 19, 2021, drew in 3.599 million LIVE viewers and a 0.47 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 4 with 4.478 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 9 with 3.464 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 3 with a 0.58 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 9 and 14. They both tied for last place with a 0.42 ratings score.
Looking at those numbers, we can see why CBS might be trying ditch Seal Team and dish it over to Paramount+. The numbers did seem to be on the low side for a network like CBS, and the show appears to be losing even more viewers.
