Big Brother 23 Spoilers: August 8, 2021 Power Of Veto Winner Revealed
Happy Sunday, “Big Brother” fans. We hope you guys are totally enjoying your weekend so far. We are, of course, back in action with another very important Big Brother season 23 report. As expected, the POV (Power Of Veto) competition was played yesterday, August 7, 2021, and we now have the results of it. So, we will reveal them to you right now.
Before we do, let’s do a brief recap of this week so far to make sure everyone is up to speed. This past Thursday night, August 5, 2021, Derek X became the latest HOH (Head Of Household) after pulling off the endurance, HOH comp win.
Then, on Friday, August 6,2021, Derek X made his nominations for eviction at the nomination ceremony. They turned out to be Britini and Sarah. At the time, his plan was for them be pawns for a possible backdoor-Christian play. And that all brings us to yesterday’s POV competition.
Reigning HOH Derek X and his two nominees for eviction Britini and Sarah played for the veto by default. Kyland, Claire and Alyssa were randomly drawn/picked to play for veto. According to the folks over at Big Brother Network , it was revealed that this veto comp featured the prize and punishment theme.
At one point, Sarah was in position to win the veto, but opted to take the $5,000 dollar prize instead. That allowed Britini to come in and snatch up the veto prize. So, Britini is the winner of this POV comp!
Derek X was given the punishment of having to be a 24-hour bathroom attendant. Kyland got something called a Jacka%$ club. Alyssa was awarded a phone call. We’ll have to wait for this Wednesday’s August 11, 2021 episode to see what other prizes and punishments were handed out during this POV comp.
We’re about 99.9 percent sure Britini will take herself off the eviction block during tomorrow’s POV Ceremony. So, the next question that looms is will Derek X throw Christian up in Britini’s place in an attempt to pull off his backdoor-Christian plan?
At around 11:15 pm pacific time, August 7, 2021, Tiffany was seen trying to suggest to Derek X that they get rid of Sarah this week instead of Christian. Derek X didn’t like that idea.
At around 11:35 PM, Tiffany told Christian and Alyssa, “I don’t want to keep Sarah.” Alyssa said of Sarah, “I don’t understand being on the block and not taking the Veto.”
At around 11:50 PM, Derek X and Alyssa were seen talking about Sarah’s strange decision to take the $5,000 over the Veto. Derek said, “I worry that I gave Sarah the wrong idea when I said we would take care of her.”
At around 12:10 AM today, August 8, 2021, Xavier suggested to Alyssa that Sarah and Kyland are a secret duo, and there’s prize money involved in them getting to jury together. Xavier went on to tell Alyssa, “We should split Sarah and Kyland up.” Alyssa said, “We could just pull Hannah in to replace Sarah.” After that, Alyssa and Xavier both agreed that Sarah should go this week instead of whoever replaces Britini on the chopping block.
At around 12:20 AM, Alyssa started wondering if Derek X would renom Christian. Then, they said that they’re sure Christian would still have the votes to stay over Sarah.
At around 1:10 AM, Derek X told Kyland, “I’m now worried that Sarah has given everyone a reason to evict her over Christian. Xavier doesn’t want Christian to go.”
At around 3:55 AM, Derek X told Tiffany, “I still want Christian out, but I’m worrying the house will want Sarah out no matter who I renom.” Tiffany kept pushing for Sarah to go, but she eventually told Derek X she’s willing to vote out the bigger target Christian.
At around 4:00 AM, Hannah and Claire were seen saying to each other, “We can get Sarah out next week instead.”
So, unlike the previous 4 weeks of this season, the target isn’t quite as clear for eviction night this Thursday. We could definitely see a lot of back and forth until this Thursday night if Derek X decides to replace Britini with Christian tomorrow.
As always, we will definitely be back on here to tell you how the POV Ceremony plays out. It’s scheduled to happen tomorrow sometime. So, we’ll be back on here either tomorrow or Tuesday with the results.
