Survivor October 12, 2022 Voted Off Lindsay Carmine (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 12, 2022, another new episode of Survivor season 43 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky contestant did get voted off the island at the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with Noelle thanking her fellow Vesi tribemembers for not voting her off over Nneka at their last tribal council meeting.
Meanwhile, over at the Baka tribe, Elie told the private cams, “Mike Gabler is starting to rub me the wrong way, and he’s becoming a detriment to our tribe.” Gabler told the private cams, “I don’t trust Elie at all for going through my bags. We can’t go too far with her.”
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with a new Reward challenge for the tribes. In it, one person from each tribe had to knock off all blocks from a platform by throwing sand bags at them. Then, the person had to use only their feet and blocks to make it across a long stretch of sand. Finally, members from each tribe had to toss 3 sand bags onto three platforms without them falling off for the win.
The Vesi won it, and their reward was ten fresh fish and the opportunity to steal a reward from another tribe. After much conversation, the Vesi tribe decided to steal Coco’s fishing gear and food. However, Cody finessed them into doing it by first showing up just asking for their machete.
The Coco tribe didn’t want to give up their machete. So, they negotiated with Cody, and he eventually talked them into giving up their fishing gear and food instead. Cody told the private cams that it was all part of his master plan to actually trick them into giving him more than what he came for. Karla told the private cams, “I think Cody played us. We’re terrible negotiators.”
Next up, was the new immunity challenge. It it, the tribes had to run and knock big sandbags off of a platform to find a key. Then, they had to use the key to unlock a net. Then, they had to drag puzzle pieces under the net and untie them. Next, they used the puzzle pieces to form a square. After that, they had to take those same puzzle pieces and climb up a cargo net. Finally, they had to use those puzzle pieces to make a triangle for the completion.
The Vesi tribe finished first, and the Baka tribe finished second after Vesi helped them out. Apparently, the Vesi tribe helped Baka out in an effort to try and weaken the Coco tribe because they haven’t lost anyone yet.
So, the Coco tribe lost, and they had to figure out who to vote off. Geo told the private cams, “My master plan is to go after Cassidy.” Cassidy told the private cams, “Geo is getting on my nerves for sure.” So, Cassidy campaigned to Karla and Lindsay to get Geo out.
Karla told the private cams, “We’re voting for Geo.” Lindsay told the private cams, “We’re voting out Geo, but I’m paranoid this might not be the plan. They might target me. I’m a huge threat physically, socially and strategically.”
So, Lindsay started raising a fuss that she might be getting played to the point that Karla and Jay were getting quite frustrated she might ruin their plan to get Geo out.
Karla tried to reassure Lindsay that they’re not coming for her. Jay also tried to reassure Lindsay, but she just kept acting crazy paranoid. Karla told the private cams, “Lindsay may have just shot herself in the foot with her paranoia.” Finally, they did seem to get Lindsay to calm down heading into the tribal council meeting. Lindsay told them, “Ok, I’m trusting you guys.”
At the Coco, tribal council meeting, they talked general game play. At one point, Lindsay acknowledged that she got too paranoid.
After the voting, Geo got 1 vote, and Lindsey got 3 votes. So, with the 3 votes, Lindsay was voted off the island. It appears that her crazy paranoia did indeed ruin things for her. Lindsay told the private cams, “I thought my alliance was going to stick with me, but they turned against me. I played my a%s off. I’m really proud of myself.”
