Tough As Nails January 25, 2023 Eliminated Sergio Robles From Individual Competitions (Recap)
Hey, “Tough As Nails” fans. Tonight, January 25, 2023, anther new episode of Tough As Nails’ current season 4 hit the air, and we saw another unlucky contestant get eliminated from the individual competitions, causing them to lose out on a chance to win the $200,000 dollar grand prize pot and a new truck.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with host Phil Keoghan presenting the team challenge for this episode. In it, they had to move 200 fathoms of fishing nets onto a boat for the first part of it. After that, they had to move 3, heavy containers of led line and fishing nets onto a trailer for the win. Beth was the crew boss for the Dirty Hands team, and Laura was the crew boss for the Savage Crew team.
During this challenge, the Savage Crew started wasting a lot of time with a buoy and fishing net issue, which allowed the Dirty Hands team to catch up to them and pass them. Then, the Savage Crew actually got their fishing net stuck, wasting even more time. At this point, the Dirty Hands team were already working on moving their containers to the trailer for the win.
However, the Savage Crew team eventually made a major comeback to catch up to the Savage Crew, and it came down to the wire, but the Dirty Hands Crew managed to keep their lead just long enough to pull out the win. With this win, they moved ahead 3-2 in the team wins. The first team to reach 5 wins, gets the $60,000 dollar bonus prize. For this win, the Dirty Hands team won $12,000 dollars.
Next up, was the individual challenge. In this one, they had to crush huge blocks of ice until the pieces were small enough to fit through a hole and into a container. They had to do this until the container was 3 times their individual bodyweight. The first one to complete it, won a $5,000 dollar cash reward.
Jorge ended up winning it to claim the $5,000 dollars. Ellery finished in 2nd place. Ilima came in 3rd. Beth took the 4th spot. Laura came in 5th. Mister took 6th place, and Larron claimed the very important 7th position to just narrowly avoid having to go into the Overtime challenge.
Jake and Sergio were the unlucky ones who finished the individual challenge last, so they had to battle each other in the Overtime challenge to stay in the individual competitions.
In this Overtime challenge, Jake and Sergio had to make 25 boxes and load 40 pounds of squid into each one of them. The first one to complete this task, won. Jake was able to win this one pretty easily over Sergio because Sergio made a couple time-wasting mistakes.
One of them was allowing one of his boxes to fall off the platform, and he had to clean it up. Also, Jake’s technique was just more efficient and fast the whole time. So, Sergio Robles did get eliminated from the individual competitions in this episode, but he will be sticking around for the team competitions to win some possible extra cash.
