New American Idol Season 21 April 2 & 3, 2023 Episodes Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We are back in your faces because the ABC people will be serving up brand new episodes of your favorite reality singing show American Idol tonight, April 2, 2023 and tomorrow night, April 3, 2023. That’s right, guys. These new episodes will be the 7th and 8th episodes of American Idol’s current season 20, and we do have some preview information for it.
The folks over at ABC put out an official press release for these new episodes 7 and 8. We were also able to collect some preview notes from the folks over at Mjsbigblog.com. So, let’s get into it.
First off, we’ve got the ABC press release description for tonight’s new episode. It’s telling us that tonight’s new episode will feature part 1 of the Hollywood Week auditions. That’s right, guys. The show finally wrapped up the initial, first-round auditions in last week’s episode 6. So, now, it’s time for the Hollywood week rounds, where we’ll get more into the nitty gritty of it all.
During the Hollywood week stuff, American Idol alumni will return to mentor the contestants by helping them build confidence, stage presence and songwriting abilities before they hit the iconic Hollywood week stage.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, April 2, 2023 episode reads like this, “American Idol (Hollywood Week Part #1). Fan-favorite “American Idol” alumni return as contestant mentors to build confidence, stage presence and songwriting as they prepare for amazing performances on the iconic Hollywood Week stage.”
According to MJSbigblog.com, the 2023 American Idol Hollywood week is going to feature a new twist. Instead of a genre challenge, the contestants are going to get split into categories. These categories are for: “Confidence,” “Performance” and “Songwriting.” Two former contestants will be assigned to each category as mentors. Last season’s winner, Noah Thompson is going to show up to tell the singers what he’s learned in the past year. The contestants will be mentored in the category they need the most help in.
ABC’s press release confirmed that American Idol will be brand new tonight, April 2, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit the air at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
Tomorrow night’s new, April 3, 2023 episode 8 will feature the contestants forming dynamic duos to perform in a Duets challenge on the Hollywood stage. The Platinum ticket winners will handpick their duet partners and rejoin the competition to try and make it through to the next round.
ABC’s official description for tomorrow night’s new, April 3, 2023 episode 8 reads like this, American Idol (Hollywood Week Part #2). “Hollywood Week continues as contestants form dynamic duos and hit the Hollywood stage for the Duets Challenge. Platinum Ticket winners handpick their duet partners and rejoin the competition in hopes of making it through to the next round.”
According to MJSbigblog, the Platinum ticket winners that ABC referenced in their press release are: Tyson Venegas, Kaylin Hedges, Cam Amen and Elijah McCormick. They will get to choose their duet partners.
ABC’s press release confirmed that American Idol will be brand new again tomorrow night, April 3, 2023, and it will hit the air at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
