New American Idol April 23 & 24, 2023 Episodes Preview Revealed
Hey, “American Idol” fans. We are back at you on this Sunday afternoon to let you know that ABC will be delivering another new set of American Idol episodes tonight, April 23, 2023 and tomorrow night, April 24, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 13th one for American Idol’s current season 21, and tomorrow night’s new episode will be episode 14.
We were able to track down official press releases for these new episodes 13 and 14 straight from ABC. So, we’ll certainly reference those to deliver this preview session. We also found some additional spoiler info from the folks over at MJSbigblog.com. Let’s get into it.
In tonight’s new, April 23, 2023 episode, you guys are going to see the top 26 contestants return to Hollywood to find out who made it to the Top 20. They’re also going to do more performances to try and get a spot in the Top 12. The winner of the American Idol 2022 edition Noah Thompson and runner-up HunterGirl will return to do a special performance.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, April 23, 2023 episode reads like this, “The contestants return to Hollywood to learn the results of America’s first votes for the Top 20, performing again in hopes of securing a spot in the Top 12. “American Idol” 2022 winner Noah Thompson and runner-up HunterGirl will also take the stage.” Sidenote: We’re also hearing from MJSbigblog that Motown singing legend Smokey Robinson is going to do a performance in this episode as well.
Then, in tomorrow night’s new, April 24, 2023 episode, you guys are going to see the Top 20 contestants perform LIVE. Also, Overnight voting results will reveal who made it into the Top 10. After that, the judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will choose two wildcard contestants of their own to go through with the Top 10, making it a Top 12 event.
ABC’s official description for tomorrow night’s new, April 24, 2023 episode reads like this, “The Top 20 contestants perform LIVE, with overnight voting results revealing 10 Idol hopefuls who will continue. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will choose two singers to round out the Top 12 competing to be the next American Idol.”
Spoiler Warning: Additionally, MJSbigblog and their sources have already found out who the top 20 contestants are. They’re claiming that the following contestants who made it into the top 20 are: Colin Stough, Iam Tongi, Hannah Nicolaisen, Haven Madison, Kaeyra, Lucy Love, Mariah Faith, Marybeth Byrd, Matt Wilson, Megan Danielle, Michael Williams, Nailyah Serenity, Nutsa, Olivia Soli, Oliver Steele, Paige Anne, Tyson Venegas, Warren Peay, Wé McDonald and Zachariah Smith.
They claim the 6 contestants that get eliminated in tonight’s new, April 13, 2023 episode are: Dawson Wayne, Elijah McCormick, Elise Kristine, Emma Busse, Malik Heard and PJAE.
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that American Idol is brand new tonight, April 23, 2023 and tomorrow night, April 24, 2023. Tonight’s April 23, 2023 episode will be a whopping 3 hours long, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. Tomorrow’s new, April 24, 2023 episode will also start at approximately 7 pm central standard time, but it will be a regular, 2-hour long episode.
