Dancing With The Stars September 24 Eliminated Tori & Pasha And Anna & Ezra (Recap)

Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. Tonight, September 24, 2024, another new episode of Dancing With The Stars’ current season 33 did indeed hit the air, and we found out which two unlucky couples got sent packing for the double elimination at the end of it.

The team for tonight’s new episode was Oscar’s Night. So, the couples only danced to tunes from Oscar-Nominated movies. The judges: Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were all on hand.

Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber kicked off the performances with a Tango routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “This was a surprise. You coped well with a music problem.” Derek said, “You owned the stage, but you need to watch your shoulders.” Bruno said, “You were a mischievous little kitten. The parts that were good were brilliant.” Carrie Ann gave Jenn and Sasha a 6 score, Derek a 6, Bruno a 7 for a total of 19 points out of possible 30 points.

Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart served up a Waltz dance. Afterwards, Derek said, “I loved that it was simple and smooth. You had good arm movements, despite some mistakes in the footsteps.” Bruno said, “You had the gravitas and presence. You tried to deliver more content, but you made some mistakes, and you needed more rotation.”

Carrie Ann said, “I had a tough time scoring it. I saw improvement, but I know what chronic pain is like.” Carrie Ann gave Eric and Britt a 6 score, Derek a 4, Bruno a 5 for a total of 15 points.

Danny Amendola and Witney Carson danced a Jive routine. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You were off like a jet fighter. There was a little turbulence, but you handled it well, and you landed splendidly.” Carrie Ann said, “There was a lot of growth from last week. There are a few tiny issues, but it was on fire.”

Derek said, “This was a difficult routine, but your arms were flailing around a little bit too much.” Carrie Ann gave Danny and Witney a 7 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa performed a Quickstep number. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “It feels like you were still holding back. You need to embrace the experience more. You have beautiful lines.” Derek said, “I want you to keep your elbows up and improve the energy, but you have beautiful turns.” Bruno said, “This was a proper, classic, elegant dance, but you need to believe in yourself more.” Carrie Ann gave Anna and Ezra a 6 score, Derek a 5, Bruno a 6 for a total of 17 points.

Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong danced a Rumba routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “You are made for dancing. You have beautiful arms and footwork, but you shouldn’t keep your hand so high in turns.” Bruno said, “You made it look easy.” Carrie Ann said, “You created moments that touched us all, but you could partner better with Brandon.” Carrie Ann gave Chandler and Brandon an 8 score, Derek an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points.

Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater served up a Paso Doble number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “You started to defrost, but you needed to cover more space and propel your hips.” Carrie Ann said, “You’re baby-stepping your way to improvement.” Derek said, “You’re an American treasure, and it was well done.” Carrie Ann gave Reginald and Emma a 6 score, Derek a 4, Bruno a 5 for a total of 16 points.

Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold danced a Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “This performance was golden, and you have a huge likability factor. You have some shaping issues, but your lines and extensions are full-out.”

Derek said, “You’re charming, but you need to get your hips forward and shoulders down, but I loved it.” Bruno said,”You have a lot of energy ,but you need to learn how to control it. You need finesse and refinement.” Carrie Ann gave Stephen and Rylee an 8 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 22 points.

Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson delivered a Rumba dance. Afterwards, Derek said, “You were a leading man with Jenna. You filled the space beautifully, but you need to watch your arm placement.” Bruno said, “You dug deep, and you truly led the dance, which is tough to do for a man in a rumba. You need your hips to be in a figure eight instead of side to side.” Carrie Ann said, “I was mesmerized.” Carrie Ann gave Joey and Jenna an 8 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 22 points.

Phaedra Parks and Val Chmerkovskiy performed a Foxtrot number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “This dream girl is here to stay. You took the notes from the judges and brought more control and presence.” Carrie Ann said, “I was touched by the dance. You can channel your emotions when you dance.” Derek said, “I can’t help but smile when I watch you. You ooz sensuality.” Carrie Ann gave Phaedra and Val a 7 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov served up a Rumba dance. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I could see you take a risk and open your heart, but you need to refine.” Derek said, “loved seeing you enjoy the moment, but you need to balance strength and fluidity better.” Bruno said, “I could see you were totally into it, and you let yourself go. You captured the spirit, but there were some technical issues.” Carrie Ann gave Tori and Pasha a 7 score, Derek a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 19 points.

Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach did a Foxtrot routine. Afterwards, Derek said, “I was blown away by how smooth that waltz was, and your frame was pretty good, but you were a little out of sync and you need to not stick out your bum.”

Bruno said, “It was graceful, but you need to watch your footwork though.” Carrie Ann said, “The dance made the impossible possible, but I’d like to see you experiment with different ways of handling dances in hold.” Carrie Ann gave Dwight and Daniella an 8 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 22 points.

Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko served up a Quickstep number. Afterwards, Bruno said, “This routine was so good in hold, but you went wrong in the beginning when you were messing about.” Carrie Ann said, “You have the facility, and you’re a beautiful dancer, but you tend to rush.” Derek said,”You have all the ingredients that need more time baking in the oven.” Carrie Ann gave Brooks and Gleb a 7 score, Derek a 6, Bruno a 7 for a total of 20 points.

Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten wrapped up the performances with a Salsa routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann said, “I thinks this routine will be talked about for years to come.” Derek said, “Your confidence, and your personality had good hip action.” Bruno said, “Your footwork was light, and your hip action was good, but you need to watch the landing on those lifts.” Carrie Ann gave Ilona a 7 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

After all of that, they revealed all the couples were safe except for Tori & Pasha, Reginald & Emma and Anna & Ezra. They landed in the bottom three for votes.
