NCIS Sydney Season 1 January 23, 2024 Episode 8 Is The Finale. Season 2 Likely To Happen
Hey, “NCIS: Sydney” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed episode 8 tonight, especially since it was indeed the very last episode for NCIS: Sydney’s current, premiere season 1. That means you guys might not ever see another new episode of it forever. That’s right, guys. We can’t officially confirm with you, right now, that CBS has renewed NCIS: Sydney for a brand new season 2. So, tonight’s episode could definitely be it forever.
With that said, we are hearing from some people over on TVtonight.com.au that the cast, which includes: Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, William McInnes, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel are currently signed up for multiple seasons. So, a new season 2 is highly likely to happen. They went on to say that they’re expected to actually start filming new episodes around Easter time. So, we’ll just wait and see if that actually pans out.
In the meantime, we’re going to take a look at how NCIS: Sydney season 1 performed for CBS. According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, the show averaged 5.053 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.34 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 7, which aired last Tuesday night, January 16, 2024, drew in 5.167 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.35 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 5.636 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 6 with 4.860 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 6 with a 0.36 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 2 and 5. They both tied for last place with a 0.32 ratings score.
I must say their viewership numbers are top notch. They’re definitely on par with the other NCIS spin off shows. So, I would certainly be surprised if CBS doesn’t renew this show. It’s definitely very likely to get a new, second season. We’ll obviously have to wait for CBS to officially announce everything. So, we’ll have to give you guys any other details at a later date.
