‘Date Night’ Movie Delivered A Ton Of Good Laughs & Action
‘Date Night’ movie delivered a ton of good laughs & action. 20th Century Fox released their new action/comedy flick “Date Night” in theaters this weekend. I just done watching it,and thought that it was highly entertaining. Both Steve Carell and Tina Fey delivered really big in the laughs department, and brought some action along with it. The movie stars: Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji Henson, Kristen Wiig, Ray Liotta, Mila Kunis, Mark Ruffalo, William Fichtner, and Olivia Munn.
“Date Night” movie revolved around characters Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire Foster (Tina Fey). They are a pretty boring couple from New Jersey, but one night that all changes when Phil decides he wants to take his wife on a date in the city. The problem is, the place he wants to take her to is all booked up for the night. However, while waiting in line Phil decides to steal another couple’s reservations by taking their name. This turns out to be a big mistake as they’re eventually approached by two gentlemen that don’t seem to pleased with them. In fact, they eventually try to kill them over a mysterious hard drive they think they have.
Phil having cleverly found a way to get them out of the initial encounter with the two violent gentlemen, takes him and his wife on a wild goose chase all across town, which eventually ends with the Fosters helping the police take down a huge illegal operation with the help of a shirtless Mark Wahlberg who plays the character Holbrooke. The film contained lots of laughs and action which included: Phil’s wife giving flirting innuendos to the shirtless Mark Wahlberg, Phil and Claire doing a funny strip dance for a pervert, and Phil crawling and jumping into a moving car that’s attached to another car while getting shot at.
It delivered a lot of high paced action, which made it a fun movie to watch. Steve Carell was great with his interesting brand of humor, and I found a new appreciation for Tina Fey who delivered great in the comedy department as well.
Grade: B+
