New ‘Due Date’ Movie Delivered Tons Of Non-Stop Laughs & More
New ‘Due Date’ movie delivered tons of non-stop laughs & more. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new comedy flick “Due Date” into theaters this weekend. I just got done checking it out,and it was way more funnier than I thought it would be.
Both Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis were a total riot in this flick, delivering laugh after laugh. It just wouldn’t stop. The movie stars: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Juliet Lewis, Danny McBride, and RZA.
“Due Date” revolved around character Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) who is trying to get home to his pregnant wife that is due to deliver in any day. He catches a flight to Los Angeles, and is ready to go. However, things take a negative turn when he gets apprehended for using his cell phone on the plane and is put on the “no fly ” list. Also, the airport has all his luggage, his wallet with all his money, and ID’s are missing.
So now, he has to catch a ride with actor “wanna be” Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) and the nightmare begins. On their little cross country road trip, Ethan manages to come up with a number of pit stops and detours that will make them very late, spend all the necessary money on weed, ruin a western union funds transfer, masturbate with Peter trying to sleep beside him, falls a sleep at the wheel causing them to get into a major accident, and accidentally drives to the Mexican border while trying to go to Los Angeles.
The crazy list of screw ups just goes on and on. They eventually make it to Los Angeles, but not without Ethan accidentally shooting Peter with a loaded gun, first. Even with all that, they still managed to pull out a happy ending. I thought the movie was amazingly funny. It’s one of those movies that just keeps pulling out never-ending laughs and one-liners throughout the entire time.
Comedian, singer, and actor Jamie Foxx made a funny appearance in the flick as well. He played Peter’s best friend Darryl, and helped give Ethan a bumpy ride in the back of a pick up truck. It was very funny. All in all, this movie pleasantly surprised me with how many laughs it delivered. I gave this movie a definite A+ rating. “Due Date” movie is in theaters now.
