New ‘Skyline’ Movie Delivered Lots Of Action & Thrills,But No Payoff
New ‘Skyline’ movie delivered lots of action & thrills, but no payoff. Universal Pictures released their new sci-fi/thriller “Skyline” into theaters this weekend. I just got done checking it out. While it was exciting to watch, all the action and “edge of your seat thrills” lead up to absolutely no payoff in the end. It was very weird. The movie stars: Eric Balfour, Donald Faison, Scottie Thompson, and Brittany Daniel.
“Skyline” movie revolved around a group of six partying males and females who have a great time at first, but by the next morning, everything changes as weird lights and noises wake everyone up. Eventually, they realize this new, special light isn’t good. In fact, it controls anyone who looks at it and sucks them away to only God knows where.
Naturally, the group of friends start to panic. They try to carry out a plan to get in the car,and make a run for it,but quickly find out that’s not a good idea as the huge alien creatures are everywhere, and they’re not nice. One by One, the group of friends dwindle down to just two people Jarrod (Eric Balfour) and Elaine (Scottie Thompson).
They emerge as the main stars of the movie, but not victorious ones. They run around everywhere, trying to fight off the huge creatures, along with the military forces that have been brought in.
The movie shows a lot of thrilling moments like people getting sucked into the creature, heads being separated from bodies,Jarrod fighting his heart out to save the woman he loves, lots of guns being fired, and bombs exploding.
It capped off with a very strange ending that revealed what the aliens were doing, but with absolutely no victorious payoff at all. It was a very interesting way to end a high action thriller like this. As I was exiting the theater, I heard one lady say, “I want my money back.” It definitely was not a typical ending for a thriller movie, and was kind of disappointing for me.
However, everything before that, was really cool to watch, and kept me on the edge of my seat. I gave this movie a B-. If the ending had been better,it would have gotten an A. “Skyline” movie is in theaters now. Get your “Skyline” movie tickets by Clicking Here.
It had no real ending because they have skyline 2 planned for 2012.
