New ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ Movie Delivered Great Mystery,Twists & More
New ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ movie delivered great mystery, twists & more. Lionsgate released their new drama/thriller flick “Lincoln Lawyer” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was really good as it delivered twists upon twists, mixed with good drama and action. The movie stars: Matthew McConaughey,Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Frances Fisher, Bob Gunton, Laurence Mason, Bryan Cranston, and William H. Macy.
“Lincoln Lawyer” revolved around character Michael Haller (Matthew McConaughey} who is a lawyer that does most of his business out of his Lincoln Continental car. He usually helps defend lowly street people for a couple of grand here and there, but one day he gets called in to help a rich kid named Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe) who has been charged for raping and beating up a prostitute girl.
Louis denies all the allegations against him,and comes up with a pretty good alternate story as to what exactly went down that night, which of course, makes him look like an innocent victim in the whole thing, claiming the girl hit him over the head, and had her friends tie him up.
Sure enough, Michael and his trusty investigator Frank find holes in Louis’ story that really irritate Michael. This also sets off red flags with Louis. Eventually, more evidence mounted against Louis,so Michael secretly starts to build a case against his own client Louis. However, Frank mysteriously gets shots just as their secret investigation gets underway, but Frank did leave Michael a telephone voice message that provided a clue that could solve the case.
While all this is happening, Michael still has to defend Louis who he knows is now guilty of the crime, and also may be guilty of another similar one from a couple of years back that ended in murder. Michael ends up defending Louis quite well in court, but secretly delivers a huge twists that gets Louis off for the rape crime, but puts him right back in for a much worse crime of murder. They capped off the movie with yet another surprising twists that put a bullet in Michael. It was pretty wild.
I thought the movie was great. It played out like a well-orchestrated symphony. It showed intense court scenes with cross examinations, witnesses, the whole nine yards, and delivered just enough info to where you could see where Michael was going with the case, but not so much that it took the excitement out of it.
In my opinion, the flick was great, and never had a dull moment in it. I gave it an A grade. “Lincoln Lawyer” movie is in theaters now. Get your “Lincoln Lawyer” movie tickets by Clicking Here.
