Review:New ‘Insidious’ Movie Delivered Wild Scenes,Storyline & Twists
New ‘Insidious’ movie delivered wild scenes, storyline & twists. FilmDistrict released a new horror/sci-fi movie called “Insidious” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and I thought it was great. It delivered a ton of crazy special effects scenes, along with a very deep story and twists. The movie stars: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey.
Insidious revolved around a young boy named Dalton and his distraught family. Everything seems pretty normal at first. The family has moved into a new house, and are getting along great. Then things start happening. Slightly odd things that go unnoticed at first.
Then one morning Dalton doesn’t wake up,and is eventually pronounced to be in a comma, but without any brain damage. The doctors can’t figure out what’s wrong with him,so they just keep running more test and feed him intravenously.
After a while, the family brings him home to do the medical stuff themselves. That’s when the really crazy stuff starts happening. Dalton’s mother Renai and the rest of the family start seeing all sorts of ghosts, and hearing weird noises. They eventually decide to move when Renai breaks down, thinking the house was haunted.
However, when they move into a different house, the hauntings continue to the point that they hire a psychic team to come in and investigate the situation. After they confirm there’s spirits in the house, they bring in a psychic lady named Elise (Lin Shaye) who figures out what’s going on,and tells them that Dalton is a astral projector and is lost in spirit world called the “further,” and these ghost are trying to possess his body.
Elise tells them what they need to do. However,it’s not easy, and results in quite a mess of a time as spirits are seen crossing over, attacking people, and more. The film gets very wild. After all the spiritual dust clears, the movie ends with a really great twist that leaves a person dead. Then they roll the closing credits.
The flick really entertained right until the very end. It never had a boring moment, and delivered a lot of chilling action. It also featured a bunch of very weird and odd scenes, but I liked it because it went right along with the theme of the movie. I gave it an A grade.
