‘Your Highness’ movie delivered great laughs,special effects, & more. Universal Pictures released their new action/comedy/adventure flick “Your Highness” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was way better than I imagined it was going to be.
I just thought it would be really silly and corny,but it had some really serious stuff going on in it,and the comedy was on-point with the story. It stars: Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel, Justin Theroux, Toby Jones,and Damian Lewis.
The flick mostly revolved around two brothers Thadeous (Danny McBride) and Fabious (James Franco). Fabious is the warrior,hero type,while Thadeous is the lazy,non-motivated type. However,all that changes after Fabious’ bride Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel) gets captured by an evil wizard named Leezar (Justin Theroux) who wants Belladonna for himself so he can make love to her with the two moons align,and create a huge dragon baby. Yeah, it’s got a crazy storyline.
Fabious suits up to go on another journey to battle Leezar and save his bride. The king tells Thadeous that he must go and help his brother,or he’ll be cut off forever. So, Thadeous reluctantly heads out with his brother on a journey that contained many dangers,including getting attacked by their own men,a big giant hand monster,a big ram monster,evil witches,and more.
During one of their dangers, a gorgeous girl named Isabel (Natalie Portman) jumps in,and comes to their rescue. After that, the fellas eventually teamed up with Isabel to complete their mission because it turns out that she wanted to destroy the evil Leezar wizard as well. Actually,doing a lot of killing was what she really had a passion for.
The film drew nicely to a huge conclusion,which displayed even more giant special effects,combat,and edge of your seat entertainment. I thought the movie was quite good. It featured a lot of different elements: comedy,drama,action,adventure,and sci-fi special effects.
I really liked seeing this side of Natalie Portman. She really did a good job playing the intense warrior girl role. I’ve never seen her in that type of role before. She really pulled it off. She truly deserved her Oscar. Also, James Franco,Danny McBride,and even the evil wizard were all very funny. There was a lot of funny,”off the wall” moments in this flick. I gave it an A.
