New Spy Kids 4 movie delivered lots of fun, action, comedy & more
Dimension Films released their new, comedy, action, family flick “Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and I thought it was pretty fun to watch. It was a little silly for my taste, but I’m sure kids would love it. The movie stars: Jessica Alba, Jeremy Piven, Joel McHale, Rowan Blanchard, Mason Cook, Antonio Banderas, Danny Trejo, Alexa Vega, Daryl Sabara.
In the flick, Jessica Alba plays character Marissa Wilson who is a step mother to two kids Rebecca and Cecil. Her family doesn’t know that she’s really an awesome spy because she has to keep it a secret. In the meantime, she’s not really making a great impression on her step kids as they really miss their real mom.
Marissa retired from being a spy when she had a child with the kid’s father. However, something happens that causes Marissa to get called back into duty, and the kids to find out who Marissa really is. A character named Time Keeper threatens to take time away from the world until there is no more time left, causing everyone to freeze.
Marissa and the other agents try to stop him before time runs out,but get caught up in a freeze,so the new, eager kids on the block Rebecca and Cecil, get called into action. They equip themselves with all the spy gear they need, and get right down to business, beating up and tricking grown men in some fun, action scenes.
Towards the end, a twist is revealed in the plot that leads to a very interesting and educational conclusion about time, how we can only move forward, and all that type of stuff. I wouldn’t say it was a suspenseful conclusion, but it was pretty interesting, and it didn’t bore me.
The movie just had sort of a vibe that was a little too silly for my taste, but it was still entertaining to watch. I thought Jessica Alba looked great. I know she probably dieted a bit to fit into that tight spy suit. They also brought back characters Carmen and Juni from the earlier Spy Kids movies. I gave the movie a B- grade.
