New Amazing Spiderman Movie Delivered Great Action,Drama & More
New Amazing Spiderman movie delivered great action, drama & more. Columbia Pictures (Sony) released their new “Amazing Spider-Man” reboot flick into theaters this past week. I just checked it out,and I thought it was very entertaining. However,I don’t think it was better than the Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi version. It stars: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.
In the new flick, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) accidentally gets bit by a radioactive spider while lurking around in one of the rooms of Oscorp. He also meets a girl he really likes named Gwen Stacey (Emma Stone).
Peter also meets up with a man that worked with his father named Dr. Curt Conners, who has been working with Lizard DNA to help find a way to regenerate limbs. Conners also had a missing arm. Parker eventually discovers he has amazing spider abilities shortly after he’s bitten, leading him to eventually make a suit and fight crime after his uncle Ben is shot by a robber.
He also ends up giving Conners his father’s “decay rate algorithm” to help him complete his work with the Lizard DNA. It appears to work on a rat they experimented on,so Conners eventually shoots himself up with a dose.
Undoubtedly, more testing needed to be done, because it causes Conners to turn into a freaking lizard that ends up trying to destroy the city. Eventually, Spider- Man and the lizard go at it,and also find out each other’s secret identities.
Having to avoid the police and the vicious attacks of the lizard, Spider-Man had to stop the lizard aka Conners from trying to turn the entire city into lizard people with a special machine that could dose everyone at the same time.
It all led up to an amazing,action-filled,conclusion that had an overall happy ending with some unhappy moments mixed in. Again, I enjoyed watching the movie as it did deliver a ton of action and so forth, but I couldn’t help comparing it to the Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi version.
And when I did, this film fell pretty short of the quality it had. In some parts, this new version seemed really rehashed, and brushed the storyline forward sort of quickly. I also think Tobey was a better Spider-Man than Andrew, but the movie wasn’t bad. I just don’t think it was better than the prior version. Whatever caused Sony to get rid of Sam Raimi and Tobey, should’ve been worked out, instead of a reboot. I gave the movie a solid B- grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here.
