WWE Is About To Do Something Pretty Wild & Shocking With Roman Reigns, New Details

According to a new report from Forbes and a couple of other news outlets, it looks like the WWE is about to do something pretty wild with Roman Reigns’ (above) character in an effort to try and cure Raw’s declining ticket sales.

Apparently, the WWE has plans to reunite Roman Reigns with his former tag team buddies Dean Ambrose and Seth “Freakin” Rollins to put The SHIELD back together again! They report that James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet put out a tweet with a picture of the SHIELD.

He captioned it with the words: “wowwww, hearing that to kickstart some ticket sales – they’re planning to give TLC in a month a MAJOR card upgrade. its finally happeninggg.” You guys can view the tweet on James McKenna’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.

Forbes also said the SHIELD reunion was confirmed by the WWE booking team. In their article, they pointed out that the WWE is attempting to boost ticket sales for their next pay-per-view event “TLC.” It’s scheduled to take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 22nd. Apparently, there have been social media reports that reveal how low the attendance has been at recent Raw TV show tapings.

They state there were only about 6,800 fans at last week’s RAW taping according to the September 25th edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The newsletter also said the recent “No Mercy” pay-per-view event was not sold out despite having a double main event that featured Roman Reigns vs. John Cena and Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman.

The Raw viewership has been falling for the past four weeks, and it’s speculated to continue due to the NFL season starting back up. It’s also reported that John Cena and Brock Lesnar might be gone for quite some time now. John is about to start filming his new role for a movie called, “Bumblebee” which is reported to be his biggest role to date.

Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and several other superstars are reportedly injured right now. So, that adds even more problems for the show. It’s believed that Brock Lesnar won’t be in action again until The Royal Rumble that’s scheduled to take place in early 2018. He is set to do one LIVE event before 2017 is over but that’s it.

Getting back to the SHIELD, the last time we saw them working together was way back in 2014 before Seth decided to betray the group by slamming chairs to the backs of Reigns and Ambrose. Recently, Ambrose and Seth have gotten back together after teasing it for a couple of weeks.

Forbes pointed out that the SHIELD was the top six merchandise sellers for the WWE back in 2014.

Some additional information from heraldstandard.com claims that the SHIELD reunion will take place at an upcoming show to fight The Miz and his Miztourage which consists of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

They also echoed Forbes’ report that ticket sales have been low for these lesser card events outside of the big events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble.

So, what do you guys think? Are you excited to see this reported SHEILD reunion? Or would you just rather see Roman stay solo. Let us know in the comments and stay tuned. Also, be sure to follow us on our WWE Facebook page for more WWE news by Clicking Here.
