A Fortnite Major, New Mode For Season 7 Just Got Leaked Today
Happy Wednesday, “Fortnite” fans. We’ve got huge gaming news for you guys today. It turns out that a major, new mode that Fortnite has coming in the very near future has been leaked! The Fortnite creators tried to keep it under wraps, but to no avail according to the folks over at Engadget.com.
They’re reporting that a gaming Youtuber named Lachlan exposed the new, upcoming mode in a video that has since been deleted. However, Engadget was able to get all the details before the video took a hit. This new mode is going to be a new, creative mode.
This new, creative mode is going to bring a little bit of the Minecraft world into Fortnite! It’s a building tool that will allow players to create their own islands, mini-games and rules. The new mode will open up on a lobby island that contains multiple rifts. Each one of them will open to different player servers.
Players will receive four islands to build on. They will be able to transverse on them by either flying or by walking. Players will also get a phone that will allow them to call in whatever resources they want, and it’s completely unlimited! Players will be allowed to build from scratch, rework prefab creations like factories or buildings from Tilted Towers.
After players are finished building their territories, they will be able to create rule sets for a map and invite their friends. They will essentially be able to use their creation any way they desire. Some examples they pointed out are: possibly turning it into a death match battleground or keep it as a place to build and practice.
This new, creative mode will reportedly join both the “Save The World” and “Battle Royale” versions of Fortnite. It sounds like this new building mode will be more geared toward people who aren’t so great at the battling aspect of the game, and would just like to build and chill out. Or it could be for players who would just like to take a break from all the shooting and fighting for a bit.
It’s pointed out that this new, creative mode was the big announcement that was originally planned to be first introduced at the Game Awards tomorrow night, December 6, 2018. They’re still going to announce it there. It just might not be as big of a surprise now.
Engadget posted a new update on the new, creative mode. Apparently, Epic Games decided to reveal all of the details of the mode early on their official Fortnite Twitter account. In their video, they explained the new creative mode like this: “We’ve got something new and exciting coming for you in season 7,’Fortnite: Creative.’
On December 13th, 2018 we’ll be launching Fortnite Creative. In this mode, you can build on your own private island and also design games and friends. The initial release will be rough, but if you wanna jump in and check it out, pick up the battle pass for a week of early access, starting December 6th, 2018. Hop in and explore with your squad.
