Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists Producer Revealed Why Emily Won’t Be With Alison

Happy Friday, “Pretty Little Liars” fans. The time is almost near for the big spin-off “The Perfectionists” to debut, and we’ve got some more interesting details to share with you guys. It turns out that both the showrunner Marlene King and one of the main stars Sasha Pieterse aka Alison DiLaurentis have spilled some tea about why Shay Mitchell’s Emily Fields character won’t be joining Alison on her new journey to the town of Beacon Heights.

Don’t worry. It’s not anything bad, but it is intel. The folks over at TV Guide were able to speak with Marlene, and she revealed exactly what’s up with that whole situation.

She confirmed that Emily and their artificially spawned twin babies are safe and sound back in Rosewood. As for leaving Emily, it was a very hard thing for Alison to do, but apparently, this Beacon Heights opportunity was just too great for Alison to pass up. Marlene assured us everything will be explained in their first 10 episode run.

She stated, “Emily and the babies are safe in Rosewood. Alison comes to Beacon Heights because an opportunity arises that she can’t pass up. It’s very hard for her to leave Emily and the babies, but we will understand as the first 10 episodes play out what’s happened in that relationship, why it’s happening and why Alison is so far away from Emily.

I’m a huge fan of Emily and Alison too, but literally, situations present themselves where you as a writer have got to adapt. I think we have done our best to be really truthful to who Emily and Alison are, why they got together, and why they’re not together now.”

In their talk with Sasha Pieterse, the answers were a little more vague and cryptic when she talked about what’s up with Alison and Emily. Basically, Sasha said the situation with Emily and Alison is complicated, and that she really doesn’t know much else right now. She claimed that we should believe her because Marlene really hasn’t told her all the details yet.

Sasha stated,”Alison and Emily will always love each other. They have these two beautiful babies together. It’s complicated. Life is complicated, and I think piecing themselves and each other and their world back together since A happened is difficult.

To be honest, showrunner I. Marlene King hasn’t told me anything. So, I’m actually not lying when I tell you I don’t know all the details, but it’s very clear that Alison loves Emily and the babies. I think both Emily and Alison need time to process their life, and I think that’s what it is.

People have relationship challenges all of the time and this is proof. Their life is really complicated. You Google them and it’s just a disaster. A lot of things has happened, but I think this separation is good.”

Well, there you have it, guys. That’s like a brief summary of why we won’t be seeing Emily with Sasha at least for the beginning of this series. God willing, it will get renewed for more seasons from Freeform.

The last time we saw Emily and Alison together was at the end of The Pretty Little Liars series back in the summer of 2017. Alison and Emily had decided to take their flirtation further and started up a real relationship with Alison’s twin babies in tow. Crazy A was the one responsible for Alison’s pregnancy by artificially inseminating her while she was unconscious! Crazy!

Anyways, we’ve seen the trailers for the Perfectionists spin-off,and it looks like it will definitely deliver some more crazy drama. It’s scheduled to finally debut this coming Wednesday night, March 20, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on Freeform.

Alright guys. That’s going to wrap it up for this latest Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
