‘Dancing With The Stars’ October 7, 2019 Eliminated Lamar Odom & Peta Murgatroyd (Recap)

Hey, “Dancing With The Star” fans. Tonight, October 7, 2019, another results/performance show did indeed air. All the judges: Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were there to give their constructive criticisms and scores. However, they were joined by a guest judge actress Leah Remini. So, the show had 4 judges tonight.

Tonight’s performances kicked off with Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold dancing a Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Len told Sean, “I didn’t think the dance was technically very good, but I appreciated your attitude.” Bruno said, “You took the bull by the horns, but all your movements seemed disconnected from the core of your body.”

Carrie Ann said, “You did committed work with your arms, but your seriousness was too stone-faced.” Leah said, “You are clearly not a dancer, but you were committed, and you tried your best.” Carrie Ann gave Sean a 5 score, Leah a 6, Len a 5, Bruno a 5 for a total of 21 points out of a possible 40 points.

Next, Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber rocked out a Jive number. Afterwards, Bruno told Brooke, “It was tingling with delight. You were totally in command of the stage.” Carrie Ann said, “It was amazing and you nailed it despite the high bar for a Tina Turner song like Proud Mary.”

Leah said, ” You’re amazing.” Len said, ” I was proud to watch that performance.” Carrie Ann gave Ally an 8 score, Leah an 8, Len an 8, Bruno and 8. for a total of 32 points.

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson did a Cha,Cha,Cha number. Afterwards, Carrie Ann told Kel, “That is what I have been waiting for.” Leah said, “You needed to own it, and you owned it tonight.” Bruno said, “You had the cha, cha, cha in your pocket.” Len liked it too. Carrie Ann gave Kel an 8 score, Leah an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 32 points.

Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov hit the stage next to deliver a Argentine Tango routine. Afterwards, Leah told Kate, “I can relate to you as a funny lady trying to be sensual, and I thought you were amazing.” Len said, ” You struggled to get into the character of the Argentine tango.”

Bruno said, “You held onto Pasha like a cougar holds on to its prey, but you lost a little balance, and it was a bit jagged.” Carrie Ann said, “You struggled to bring the personality to the dance, but I loved how you used your legs.” Carrie Ann gave Kate a 7 score, Leah a 7 score, Len a 6 score, Bruno a 6 score for a total of 26 points.

After that, James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater arrived on stage to do a Quickstep number. Afterwards, Len told James, “I would have liked to see more of this dance in hold, but it was otherwise full of clever choreography.” Bruno said, “The little details and transitions weren’t quite as precise despite being strong overall.”

Carrie Ann said, “You were a bit out of sync with Emma.” Leah said, “You’ve been amazing from day one.” Carrie Ann gave James a 7 score, Leah a 7, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 28 points.

Next, the former Bachelorette Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten danced up a superb Paso Doble routine. Afterwards, Bruno told Hannah, “The sexy beast is out of the cage. You started magnificently, but you got out of breath towards the end and tightened up.”

Carrie Ann said, “My criticism last week wasn’t meant to hurt you, but to help you, and it actually worked to make you better. You were more passionate and delightful.” Leah said, “I noticed a little smile towards the beginning, but you got it together.” (Leah mentioned the smile because Hannah was going for a more aggressive and mean face for this dance.)

Len said, “You were fast and clear, and had an air of calmness and control.” Carrie Ann gave Hannah an 8 score, Leah an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 32 points.

Lamar Odom and Peta Murgatroyd hit the stage next to serve up a Viennese Waltz routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann told Lamar, “It took courage for you to come out and be vulnerable after getting tough critiques and scores in previous weeks.” Leah said, “I’m emotional because I understand how hard you’re working, and I think you are amazing.”

Len said, “You were gentle during the dance, and you’ve had to climb mountains when others haven’t.” Bruno said, “You had the softness, but you lacked the rotation. If you stick around, that’s something to work on.” Carrie Ann gave Lamar a 5 score, Leah a 7, Len a 4, Bruno a 4 for a total of 20 points.

Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy arrived on stage to do a Cha,Cha,Cha. Afterwards, Leah told Sailor, “You make me smile.” Len said, “You gave another terrific performance, and a well executed cha cha with good hip action.”

Bruno said, “Your light is shining brighter every week, and I appreciate the work you’ve been putting into the proper footwork.” Carrie Ann said, “I agree with everyone else, but sometimes your steps are too big or too small. So, you need better consistency.” Carrie Ann gave Sailor a 7 score, Leah an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 31 points.

Next, Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko hit the stage to dance a Foxtrot number. Afterwards, Len told Lauren, “I didn’t like the stuff on the swing, but I liked everything that happened when you got into the actual dance. I especially liked the heel turn you did.”

Bruno said, “It was a classy foxtrot from a classy lady. I like how you danced across the beat instead of just on it.” Carrie Ann said, “You have arrived. This dance was your dance.” Leah said, “I was moved, and I love how you told a story with your dance.” Carrie Ann gave Lauren an 8 score, Leah an 8, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 32 points.

Lastly, Karamo Brown and Jenna Johnson danced a Tango routine to wrap up the performances tonight. Afterwards, Bruno told Karamo, “You were looking good, and you turned on the leading man attitude with no mistakes, but I need you to be careful not to make the tango too steppy.”

Carrie Ann said, “That was my favorite dance of yours, but I did see an unauthorized lift even though it was just your starting position.”

Leah said, “You owned it tonight.” Len said, “I didn’t like your right elbow near the end,but there were elements I liked and didn’t like.” Carrie Ann gave Karamo a 7 score, Leah a 7, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 28 points.

At this point, it was time for the results. All the couples were revealed to be safe except for Karamo & Jenna and Lamar & Peta.
