‘The Rookie’ Season 2, December 15, 2019 Episode 11 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “The Rookie” fans. We’re going to just jump straight to the point with you guys. We’ve got some really bad news for you. It turns out that “The Rookie” is on a really long break right now. Longer than most other shows we’ve had to report on.

That means ABC will not be airing the next, new episode 11 of “The Rookie’s” second season 2 tonight, December 15, 2019.

In fact, they won’t be airing it for quite a while. We’ve got the premiere date for episode 11. It’s currently scheduled to air on Sunday night, February 23, 2020 in its same 9 pm central standard time slot on ABC of course. So, be sure to burn that very important date into your brain or just write it down somewhere.

So, what is ABC airing instead of The Rookie tonight? According to the TV Guide listings, ABC has devoted a whopping four hours of their entire primetime schedule to airing “The Sound Of Music” special tonight from 6 pm to friggin 10 pm!

ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “In pre-WWII Austria, a young, high-spirited postulant is sent from the convent to become a governess to seven children, whose father is a cold and aloof military captain.”

Then next Sunday night, December 22, 2019, ABC will be airing another special called, “THE YEAR: 2019” from 8 pm to 10 pm central standard time.

On Sunday night, December 28, 2019, we have word that ABC will air a repeat episode of “The Rookie.” It’s the 7th episode of season 2 titled, “Safety.”

ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “John and Jessica’s (Sarah Shahi) relationship gets a lot more complicated after she delivers some surprising news.

Meanwhile, Officer Bradford and Officer West are assigned a community policing project helping out the Watts Rams as volunteer coaches at their fall clinic, along with Rams players Eric Weddle and Robert Woods.”

Beyond those three dates, we’ve currently got nothing else for you. So, you’ll have to check the listings yourself.

If any of that line of programming seems enticing to you, you might still want to look to ABC for your Sunday night entertainment. If not, you will certainly want to find something else to watch or do for the next two and a half friggin months.

Normally, we would tell you something about the next, new episode 11 of The Rookie, but ABC has yet to reveal anything for it. So, we are currently empty-handed in that department.

What we do have is some current “The Rookie” season 2 ratings and LIVE viewership numbers for you guys. The Rookie season 2 is currently averaging 3.643 million Live viewers per episode with a 0.56 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 10 brought in 3.695 million LIVE viewers and a 0.59 ratings score.

We’re not sure how good those numbers are for ABC. If we had to guess, we would probably say they’re right around the ok mark. We currently haven’t seen any news of ABC renewing The Rookie for a new, 3rd season yet, but it is still very early. So, we will wait and see what ABC decides to do.

Again, ABC confirmed that the new episode 11 is scheduled to air on Sunday night,February 23, 2020 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “The Rookie” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.

Nothing simple with you lot, you take a decent series and turn it into sh!t by suspending it for a couple of months.
It must have taken a genius to work that one out.
