The Bachelorette November 16, 2021 Eliminated Chris S, Casey & Leroy (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, November 16, 2021, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2021 edition with headliner Michelle Young did indeed air, and some more guys got sent packing at the end.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the guys revealing that they’re excited to go to Minnesota to see Michelle in her hometown. There was some footage of Michelle greeting and talking with her parents about how great she thinks her guys are.

The guys showed up to greet Michelle. Then, Michelle picked Joe for a 1 on 1 date outing. A couple of the other guys were devastated by that because they know Joe and Michelle grew up in Minnesota and have a lot in common.

Michelle took Joe to a Minnesota Twins game. They kissed on the field after Michelle threw a strike across the baseball plate for fun. After the game, Michelle took Joe to her old high school. She showed him her old year book photos. They played a game of basketball in the gym. Michelle told the private cams, “Me and Joe have a magnetic energy between us. It’s really special.”

Michelle told Joe, “You remind me a lot of my dad and brothers in that they’re very reserved. Were you always this reserved?” From there, they talked about him opening up more. He said he’s trying to open up more, but it’s really hard for him. Michelle told Joe she appreciates his effort, and they kissed.

During the second half of their date, Joe and Michelle had some dinner and they talked. Joe talked about various injuries he got in his foot over the years while trying to play basketball. He said he was able to come back and play basketball after the foot surgeries, but it didn’t feel the same. It affected him mentally. He went through a stage of depression. It got pretty emotional as Joe teared up.

Joe went on to say that basketball and rehab starting taking away from other things in his life that were important. So, that’s when he decided to quit basketball. Michelle told Joe, “I’m happy that you shared that with me. It means so much.”

Joe said, “I’m happy too. It’s not something I do often, but you’re definitely worth it.” Then, they kissed. Michelle told Joe, “Today, has been more special than I could imagine. I’m so proud of you for trusting me.” Then, she gave Joe a rose, and they kissed again. Michelle told the private cams, “I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me and Minnesota Joe.”

Next, Michelle took Casey, Rodney, Martin, Leroy, Rick, Clayton, Olumide, Chris S, and Brandon on a group date. Chris S told the private cams he was really upset about Nayte getting the 1 on 1 date card after he warned Michelle about him. He said he felt like he got the short end of the stick.

Michelle took the guys to Vikings stadium. The guys had to do various challenges like a Viking war cry. They had to throw a tree stump. They put on viking uniforms. They had to eat fermented fish and something called a viking head hash, which I think is some sort of fish brain. I think that’s what they called it. Either way, it was disgusting. The guys also did some arm wrestling. Clayton ended up winning the Viking challenges.

During the afterparty, Michelle talked with Clayton. Michelle told Clayton, “You were very present today. I like the person I’m connecting with.” Clayton told Michelle, “I admire your confidence.” Then, they kissed. Michelle talked with Brandon J. She fed Brandon some better-tasting fish than they had at the Vikings stadium, and they kissed.

Meanwhile, a very upset Chris S told the private cams, “Nayte got the 1 on 1 date I should have gotten.” The other guys thought Chris was acting weird. He kept moping around complaining ,and he never even went to talk to Michelle during the group date. Michelle ended up giving Clayton the group date rose.

Chris told the private cams he was mad that Michelle never tried to check up on him or talk to him at all during the group date.

Next, Nayte and Michelle went on their 1 on 1 date. They went to Lake Minnetonka. They took a boat ride, talked and kissed. Michelle’s two best friends eventually joined them to ask Nayte some questions to make sure he’s there for the right reasons.

They asked him if there’s anyone he thinks is there for the wrong reasons. Nayte said he trusts Michelle to sniff out the guys who are there for the wrong reasons. He also mentioned that Chris S took his comment the wrong way when he tried to claim Nayte was being arrogant. Nayte explained that he was just confident in the relationship that he and Michelle established. One of Michelle’s friends Allie said she liked Nayte and was impressed with him.

Michelle and Nayte kissed some more and went swimming in the ocean. Chris S complained about Michelle again. He said he has a lot to say to her ,and it can’t wait.

During the second half of Michelle and Nayte’s 1 on 1 date, Michelle told Nayte, “I felt like you were honest. You were yourself. It was great. My past relationship was so toxic that it made me physically sick. This was on of my best dates,” and they kissed.

Next, Chris S showed up and interrupted Michelle and Nayte’s 1 on 1 date. Chris told Michelle, “I feel really insecure being here. I felt really played by the whole situation after I warned you about Nayte. Then, you gave Nayte a 1 on 1 date. I warned you, and I don’t want you to make the wrong decision.”

Michelle told Chris S, “I was kind of caught off guard about how you approached the situation.” Chris said, “Then, why did you put on a fake smile?” As the conversation continued, Michelle told Chris, “You didn’t have a good attitude at the group date.

I appreciate you trying to look out for me, but I want someone to stand by me, not speak for me. I don’t feel that we’re not on the same page. I don’t see this relationship progressing. So, I need to walk you out.”

Michelle told the private cams,”I felt like Chris was trying to control my decisions. This is my journey.”

Michelle told Nayte that she sent Chris S home. She also said, “I know that I’m very capable of making my own decisions. I like our chemistry.” Then, she gave Nayte a rose, and they kissed. Michelle told the private cams, “I gave Nayte a rose because he trust me in making my own decisions.” Michelle and Nayte kissed some more to fireworks going off. Michelle told the private cams, “I’m starting to fall for Nayte.”

At the cocktail party, Michelle told the rest of the guys she sent Chris S home. Michelle talked with Rick. They took a walk through the city and ended up kissing. Rick told the private cams, “I’m here for Michelle. I’m all in for her.”

At one point, Michelle was seen giving Brandon J a birthday cake, and they kissed. Michelle talked with Rodney on the balcony. They kissed after Rodney told her, “I love being with you so much.”

Michelle talked with Martin. Martin told Michelle, “I’m appreciative of every moment I spend with you.” He talked about women being high maintenance in Miami. Michelle asked him to explain what he means by a woman being high maintenance. He said it’s when a woman expects the man to just do everything for her.

In that moment, it seemed like Michelle was disconnecting with him a little bit, and it worried Martin, but it apparently wasn’t too big of an issue since Michelle ended up giving Martin a rose along with Rick, Olumide, Brandon, Martin and Rodney at the rose ceremony to join Joe, Clayton and Nayte who received roses earlier in the episode.

That means poor Casey and Leroy did not get a rose and had to join Chris S who got booted earlier in the show. And that was it, guys.

The next, new episode of The Bachelorette 2021 edition with headliner Michelle Young is scheduled to air next Tuesday night, November 23, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
