New SWAT Season 5 Spoilers For April 17, 2022 Episode 17 Revealed

Hey, “S.W.A.T.” fans. We hope that tonight’s episode 16 totally rocked for you guys, especially since it got delayed last week. Now that episode 16 finally got a chance to do its thing, we are back with some new, spoilery intel for the next, new episode 17 of SWAT’s current season 5, which will be making its way to the air next Sunday night, April 17, 2022.

Thanks to the wonderful CBS people and their official episode 17 press release, we were able to get our hands on a couple of new, official teaser scoops for this new episode 17. So, we’re going to see what those are all about right now. Let’s get into it.

First off, CBS let us know that there is an official title for this new episode 17. It’s called, “Cry Foul.” It sounds like episode 17 will feature some very intense, dramatic, action-filled, suspenseful, scandalous and interesting scenes as deadly explosions get set off! Deacon and Annie try to help out a former drug dealer and more.

We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the deadly explosions situation. It turns out that the city of Los Angeles will be a major danger zone in this episode as a whole bunch of oil derricks located across the city will get hit with life-threatening explosions at some point! This terrible development will prompt the SWAT team into action to try and track down an activist that has decided to get involved in terrorist activities.


CBS’ official description for this deadly explosions plotline tells us, “When a series of deadly explosions hits oil derricks across Los Angeles, SWAT teams up to hunt down an activist-turned-terrorist.”

An alternate description reads like this, “THE TEAM HUNTS FOR A TERRORIST TARGETING THE CITY’S OIL DERRICKS WITH DEADLY EXPLOSIONS.”

The second and last teaser spoiler for this new episode 17 lets us know that a reformed drug dealer who was thrown into the slammer for a murder he didn’t commit will be on the scene at some point. So, we’re going to see Deacon and Annie do what they can to try to get this reformed drug dealer out of prison.

CBS’ description for this reformed drug dealer storyline reads like this, “Deacon and his wife, Annie (Bre Blair), work to free a reformed drug dealer who they believe was sent away for a murder he didn’t commit.”

Episode 17 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Anna Enger as character (Powell), Conrad Haynes as character (Tatum), Jero Medina as character (Ortiz), David Rees Snell as character (Det. Burrows), Kimleigh Smith as character (Paula), Shane Conrad as character (Capt. Jackson), Sophina Brown as character (Gokey), Michael Johnston as character (Watson), Alicia Ziegler as character (Cora), Ethan Flower as character (Finley) and Matthew Alan as character (Lambert).

Episode 17 will a couple of recurring stars. They are: Norma Kuhling as character (Fowler) and Bre Blair as character (Annie).

The season regulars that will be featured in episode 17 are: Shemar Moore as character (Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson), Alex Russell as character (Jim Street), Jay Harrington as character (David “Deacon” Kay), Lina Esco as character (Christina “Chris” Alonso), Kenny Johnson as character (Dominique Luca), David Lim as character (Victor Tan) and Patrick St. Esprit as character (Commander Robert Hicks).

Episode 17 was written by Amelia Sims, and it was directed by Oz Scott.

CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of SWAT’s current season 5 is indeed scheduled to make its arrival next Sunday night, April 17, 2022 at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
