Hey, “Jimmy Kimmel LIVE” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got some really bad news for you guys in this article. We’ve just learned that your favorite, late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel LIVE is not going to be new tonight, May 8, 2023 and for at least the rest of all this week.
This has happened before. However, the reasoning is much different and much worse this time. It’s not because Jimmy is on vacation or something minuscule like that. No, no, no. This time, it’s because all the friggin writers have decided to go on strike again!
That’s right, guys. All the writers for the entire entertainment industry have gone on strike and not producing anymore material/content for these shows, including all the late night talk shows. Not Just Jimmy Kimmel LIVE. All of them are being forced to just air rerun episodes ,right now, and we don’t now how long this will last. Unless they give these writers what they want, this strike could last for an indefinite period of time. The last writer’s strike back in 2007 lasted a whopping 100 days!
So, here’s what’s going to happen with Jimmy Kimmel LIVE this week. Tonight, May 8, 2023, ABC is going to re-air the episode that originally aired back on April 15,2023. It featured appearances from: comedian John Mulaney, actress India Amarteifio and a musical performance from American indie pop band “Cannons.”
On Tuesday night, May 9, 2023, ABC is going to re-air the episode that originally aired on April 26, 2023. It featured appearances from: actor Pierce Brosnan, actress Abby Ryder Fortson and musical performance by New West band.
On Wednesday night, May 10, 2023, ABC will re-air the episode that originally aired back on April 24, 2023. It featured appearances from: late night talk show host James Corden, Scottish actor Richard Madden and a musical performance from American alternative rock band, “They Might Be Giants.”
On Thursday night, May 11, 2023, ABC is going to re-air the episode that originally aired back on April 27, 2023. It featured appearances from: actor Chris Pratt, actor Vin Diesel and a musical performances by Lukas and Micah Nelson.
On Friday night, May 12, 2023, ABC is going to re-air the episode that originally aired back on May 1, 2023. It featured appearances from: American actor, writer, producer and podcaster Charlie Day, Indian-born American author, activist, actress, model, philanthropist and television host Padma Lakshmi and a musical performance from American singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha.
If any of you guys happened to have missed any of those repeat episodes of Jimmy Kimmel LIVE the first time they aired, you might still want to stick with ABC during the late nights this week. If you’ve seen these repeat episodes and have absolutely no desire to watch them again, you will certainly want to get some other late night plans together for the immediate and indefinite future.
