Hey, “Fire Country” fans. We hope you guys totally had a blast with tonight’s episode 22, especially since this was the season-ending episode. That’s right, guys. Fire Country’s current, premiere season 1 did officially come to a close with tonight’s finale episode 22. That means you guys won’t get to see another new episode of Fire Country for a good long while.

However, here is some good news. We can officially tell you, right now, that CBS did officially renew Fire Country for a brand new season 2. That’s right, guys. You will get to see another new episode of Fire Country at some point in the future. Unfortunately, we currently don’t have a clue when season 2 will premiere because of this writers strike situation that’s threatening to halt normal production start times.

According to the folks over at TVLine.com , CBS gave Fire Country a super early renewal way back in January 2023. So, They definitely fell in love with how it performed for them.

Amy Reisenbach who is the president of CBS Entertainment had wonderful things to say about Fire Country during the renewal announcement stating, “It’s pretty remarkable to see a new series resonate like this with both broadcast and streaming audiences right out of the gate.

Fire Country has so many appealing entry points for the audience. It combines high-stakes action with small town charm, mystery and romance, and a family franchise at its core. We’re blessed to have an incredible team in front of and behind the camera led by amazing producers and writers and an exceptionally talented cast.”

According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Fire Country season 1 averaged 5.954 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.51 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Friday night, May 12, 2023, managed to draw in 5.063 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.35 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 12 with 10.082 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 21 with 5.063 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 12 with a 1.88 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 20 with a 0.32 ratings score.

If you include the numbers from the streaming platforms, the average episode viewership numbers jump to 8 million, and the average ratings number jumps to a 0.70 ratings score. So, Fire Country is definitely the highest-rated rookie/freshman show right now.
