20/20 September 1, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that another episode of 20/20 will be hitting the air tonight, September 1, 2023. However, just like last week, this one will be another repeat episode since the 20/20 crew is still in the offseason at the moment. Some of you guys might not have seen this particular repeat episode. So, we do have some preview intel for it.
ABC put out a new press release for tonight’s September 1, 2023, repeat episode. So, we will certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s get to it. For starters, we got an official title for tonight’s September 1, 2023 repeat episode of 20/20. It’s called, “The Wicked.” It originally aired way, way back on October 25, 2019.
In tonight’s September 1, 2023 repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a girl named Payton Leutner. When she was just 12 years old, her two friends Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier ended up stabbing her 19 times and leaving her for dead in the woods of Waukesha, Wisconsin!
At the time, Morgan and Anissa said they wanted to kill Payton in an effort to prove themselves to a mysterious fictitious character known as the Slender Man. In this episode, American journalist David Muir interviewed Paytom Leutner about that horrific day, her very long recovery period and how she’s living life these days.
This episode also featured interviews with Payton’s parents, Joe and Stacie Leutner; Waukesha Police Detectives Tom Casey and Michelle Trussoni, who interviewed the suspects during the investigation; Shelly Fisher, who interviewed Payton at the hospital; Dan Klein, who was the first officer on the scene the day of the attack; Waukesha County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Osborne, who prosecuted the case; Morgan’s attorney Anthony Cotton; Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Bruce Vielmetti, who covered the case; and the doctors who evaluated both suspects.
This episode also included shocking police interviews with Morgan and Anissa about their crimes and Muir’s interviews with Angie Geyser, Morgan’s mom, and Kristi Weier, Anissa’s mom.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s September 1, 2023, repeat episode of 20/20 reads like this, “Payton Leutner speaks out for the first time after her two friends stabbed her 19 times and left her for dead in the woods of Waukesha, Wis., to prove themselves to a fictitious character known as “Slender Man.”
An alternate description tells us,”’20/20′ COVERS THE TERRIFYING ATTACK IN THE NAME OF SLENDER MAN, FEATURING AN INTERVIEW WITH PAYTON LEUTNER, WHO WAS STABBED BY HER FORMER FRIENDS 19 TIMES AT THE AGE OF 12.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed this particular repeat episode of 20/20 when it originally aired, you might still want to hang with ABC tonight to check it out. If you did already see this repeat episode, and you have absolutely no desire whatsoever to watch it again, you will certainly want to start making some alternate plans for tonight as quickly as you can.
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 will be a repeat episode again tonight, September 1, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV sets, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
