New 48 Hours October 14, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed

CBS is going to serve up the next, new episode 5 of 48 Hours’ current season 37 tonight, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
CBS served up an official press release for tonight’s new, October 14, 2023 episode 5. So, we will certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
To start, CBS revealed that tonight’s new, October 14, 2023 episode 5 does have an official title. It’s called, “Jade Janks and the Secret Photos.”
In tonight’s new, October 14, 2023 episode 5, the 48 Hours team is going to take a deep look at a story about a woman named Jade Janks. Back in 2021, a man called the San Diego Sheriff’s Department claiming that Jade might have killed her stepfather Tom Merriman.
The man told the Sheriff’s department that Jade actually confessed to drugging Tom Merriman, suffocating and strangling him to death! This call, not surprisingly, prompted an intense search for Tom Merriman’s body. He was eventually found dead in his driveway under a pile of trash. Jade was arrested and charged with the murder of Tom Merriman, but she claimed she was innocent.
She told them that Tom had just been released from the hospital, was in poor health and fell asleep in her car. Then, she found his dead body and panicked. So, she tried to hide his body. Eventually, the autopsy seemed to support Jade’s story.
It reported that Tom died from a prescription drug overdose. A new twist in this case revealed that 10 days before Tom died, Jade had found a ton of explicit photos of her on Tom’s computer. The investigators also found some suspicious and incriminating text messages from Jade.
48 hours contributor Tracy Smith handled the reporting duties for this case and episode. She will reveal details about the case against Jade Janks and also reveal some new clues that have not been shown on TV.

In a story only on 48 HOURS, contributor Tracy Smith reports on the case against Janks and shares clues never-before-seen on television that investigators uncovered, in “Jade Janks and the Secret Photos.”
An alternate description tells us,”A WOMAN DISCOVERS EXPLICIT PHOTOS OF HERSELF ON HER STEPFATHER’S COMPUTER. SOON AFTER, HE’S FOUND DEAD – WAS IT REVENGE? Tracy Smith Reports in “48 Hours: Jade Janks and the Secret Photos.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 5 of 48 Hour’s current season 37 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, October 14, 2023, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. This episode will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
