In tonight’s new, October 15, 2023 episode 5, 60 Minutes’ Scott Pelley is going to sit down and have a very indepth discussion with the current president of the United States Joe Biden about all the drama that’s going on in Israel right now.
CBS’ official description for this President Joe Biden segment reads like this, “Ahead of Sunday’s edition of 60 MINUTES, President Biden told Scott Pelley that the families of missing Americans in Israel “have to know that the president of the United States of America cares deeply about what’s happened to them.” Mr. Biden will meet virtually today with families of American hostages believed to be held by Hamas militants. The president told 60 MINUTES, “This is not human behavior. It’s pure barbarism.”
CBS served up a brief transcript from tonight’s new episode, which reveals that Scott Pelley asked Biden, “Why do you feel so strongly about speaking to these families personally on Zoom?” Biden responded by saying, “Because I think they have to know that the president of the United States of America cares deeply about what’s happening deeply.
We have to communicate to the world that this is critical. This is not even human behavior. It’s pure barbarism, and we’re going to do everything in our power to get them home if we can find them.”
According to TV guide’s description, you guys will also see a couple of other segments in tonight’s new episode. 60 Minutes is going to take a look at the family behind the rescue efforts over at kibbutz Nahal Oz. They will also take a look at 50 migrants who were transported over to Martha’s Vineyard via Florida officials.

CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 5 of 60 Minutes’current season 56 is indeed scheduled to show up on your TV screens tonight, October 15, 2023, starting at approximately 6 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 7 pm central standard time.
