New 60 Minutes March 10, 2024 Episodes 22 & 23 Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back in action to let you all know that CBS is serving up not just one new episode of 60 minutes tonight, March 10, 2024, but two new episodes. Actually, we take that back. We’re pretty sure the first episode is an episode that’s filled with segments that were previously aired, but the second episode is fully new. Anyways, they’re both listed as fully new in TV guide.
We’re going to go over the official press release descriptions for both of these episodes in this preview session. So, let’s get to it.
The first episode is listed as the 22nd episode of this current season 56. CBS noted the following for this episode: “These previously broadcast segments have been updated for this special edition.” So, this is basically a repeat episode.
In this repeat episode, there will be two segments. The first one is titled, “RISE.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “As Ukrainian families grieve the losses of their loved ones in Russia’s continued conflict, correspondent Scott Pelley joins a group of widows and children of the war on a mountain climb in the Austrian Alps, a journey of recovery and resilience.
Organized by a charity founded by an American Marine who is still finding his footing after serving three combat tours in Iraq, Pelley joins the bereaved families, who traveled 1,300 miles after their city was bombed, on an expedition of hope, community and teamwork. This is a double-length segment.”
The second and final segment is titled, “JEFF KOONS.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Anderson Cooper profiles Jeff Koons, one of the most prominent and polarizing artists in the world. Known for making sculptures and paintings inspired by everyday objects or famous characters, his works can take decades to make and push the boundaries of technology and sometimes taste.
Koons shows Cooper some of his latest work at both a stone workshop in Pennsylvania and his studio in New York, where he gives 60 MINUTES a look at what he hopes will be a permanent art exhibit on the moon.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that this episode 22 of 60 Minutes’ current season 56 is scheduled to hit the air tonight, March 10, 2024, starting at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
As for tonight’s second episode, it’s listed as the 23rd installment of this current season 56. The whole episode is officially titled, “Take Me Away.” It will feature 3 segments. As far as we can tell, these segments will be brand new. They’re listed as being new ones.
The first segment is titled, “AN ISLAND OFF AN ISLAND.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Jon Wertheim ventures to a 90-square-mile jewel of land off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Fogo Island’s population was decimated when its one and only industry, cod fishing, went into steep decline. Now, an eighth-generation Fogo Islander has returned home with deep pockets and a plan to bring the place and its people back. Nathalie Sommer and Kaylee Tully are the producers.”
The second segment is titled, “CALIGULA’S GARDENS.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “The gardens of the Roman emperor Caligula have been discovered and excavated, and some of the most remarkable finds are now on display.
How does this affect scholarly efforts to take a new look at the emperor and whether he was as cruel and depraved as he’s been made out to be? Anderson Cooper reports from Rome. Andy Court is the producer.”
The 3rd and final segment for tonight’s new, March 10, 2024 episode 23 is titled, “RETURN TO GORONGOSA.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Gorongosa was once a crown jewel of African national parks, but its wildlife was destroyed by three decades of war. Scott Pelley shows us how the park in Mozambique and its people have rebounded with the help of Greg Carr, a former tech entrepreneur from Idaho. Henry Schuster and Sarah Turcotte are the producers.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that this new episode 23 of 60 Minutes’ current season 56 is indeed scheduled to show up on your TV sets tonight, March 10, 2024, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
