Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie delivered crazy laughs & action. Universal Pictures recently released their new comedy/action flick “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” into theaters this weekend. I just got done checking it out,and I must say that it was a complete riot,coupled with a ton of crazy action scenes.
Michael Cera films always have that sort of weird,crazy humor to them and this was no different. It moved along at a very fast pace too. It stars: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman.
“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” movie revolved around character Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) who gets a crush on a girl named Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). She’s a tough cookie,and doesn’t take to Scott right away,but after ordering an Amazon.com product just to ask her out on a date when she delivered it, things really started to pick up between the two of them. However, problems eventually arise when Romona’s 7 evil exes show up to try and kill Scott because they’ve deemed themselves in charge of Ramona’s future love life.
Now, Scott must defeat all of them to win her heart for good. The task doesn’t prove to be an easy one as he had to face getting punched in the face numerous times,kicked around by an invisible bi-sexual girl,take a beating from a psychic vegan,and even overcome death to finally win his Ramona prize. The movie capped off with a big battle finale,along with a well-learned lesson for Scott.
I thought the movie was absolutely hilarious. Michael Cera is always very funny. The movie moved along at a very fast pace,making it even more funny.
