Review:’Madea’s Big Happy Family’ Movie Delivered Crazy Laughs & More
‘Madea’s Big Happy Family’ movie delivered crazy laughs & more. Lionsgate released their new, very hilarious,Tyler Perry branded,comedy/drama flick “Madea’s Big Happy Family” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was a complete riot. The Madea character is absolute gold for Tyler Perry. Just hearing the voice, cracks me up. I think she was the craziest I’ve seen her before because she started slapping the kids this time around.
The movie stars: Tyler Perry, Loretta Devine, Shad “Bow Wow” Moss, David Mann, Cassi Davis, Tamela Brown Mann, Lauren London, Isaiah Mustafa, Rodney Perry, Shannon Kane, Teyana Taylor, and Natalie Desselle Reid.
In the movie, character Shirley (Loretta Devine) has found out that her lung cancer has come back, and it’s terminal, but she keeps a smile on her face. From this point, all she wants to do is get the whole family together in one place so she can break the news to them. However, this proves to be more of a daunting task than anyone could imagine.
Her son Byron (Bow Wow) has had legal problems. Her two daughters always just fight with their husbands, while the grandkids run rampant an disrespect adults. Things finally get so bad, that they have to get crazy Madea on the case. Needless to say, things certainly do get handled once she steps in.
She put those disrespecting grandkids in their place with a few slaps across the face, and gets everyone to finally come to dinner at the same time by yelling down their throats and threatening them. Her methods were unconventional, but they definitely worked.
There were lots of funny scenes in the flick that included Bryon’s baby mamma always getting on his case for child support money and extendedly chanting his name like Byronnnnnnn,Madea constantly slapping people around and cussing them out, Madea ending up on the Maury Povich show to try and find out who the baby of her 50 something year old daughter was,and more.
It concluded with a very dramatic ending via Madea bringing to light all of the family’s issues and why they exist. I thought the movie was very entertaining. It was never boring, and always had me cracking up. It wasn’t just Madea who was funny. The supporting cast was also quite funny, especially David Mann who played character Brown. He was just very silly. Also, Tyler Perry’s other character Joe was riot as well.
I think Tyler Perry really outdid himself by slapping the kids across the face. They really straightened up after that. I gave the movie a definite A+. Follow us on Facebook for more movie news, reviews, trailers, and more by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
