New Tyler Perry’s ‘Good Deeds’ movie trailer released online. Lionsgate recently released a new movie trailer for another Tyler Perry joint,called “Good Deeds.” This time. It looks like it’s another drama,and it gets pretty emotional. I prefer the Madea flick,myself,but some of you guys might like this one. It’s got a lot of big names in it,for sure.

‘Madea’s Big Happy Family’ movie delivered crazy laughs & more. Lionsgate released their new,very hilarious,Tyler Perry branded,comedy/drama flick “Madea’s Big Happy Family” into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was a complete riot. The Madea character is absolute gold for Tyler Perry. Just hearing the voice, cracks me up. I think she was the craziest I’ve seen her before because she started slapping the kids this time around.

Critics gave Tyler Perry ‘For Colored Girls’ movie mediocre reviews. Lionsgate released their new Tyler Perry branded drama flick “For Colored Girls” into theaters today,and most of the top movie critics didn’t have great things to say about it. However,a few of them liked it.

The movie stars: Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Michael Ealy, Kimberly Elise, Omari Hardwick, Hill Harper, Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Tessa Thompson, Kerry Washington, Whoopi Goldberg, Macy Gray, Khalil Kain,and Richard Lawson.

Wesley Morris at the Boston Globe gave it a B-. He said, “The audience I saw it with didn’t seem to know whether to clap when it was over or start taking Lipitor.” Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B-. Janet Jackson seen filming scenes for new Tyler Perry movie in New York. The R&B/popstar icon Janet Jackson was back at it again as she was spotted on the set of Tyler Perry’s latest movie creation entitled, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf” out in New York City yesterday afternoon. That has gotta be the longest title I’ve seen for a movie thus far. My goodness.

Janet was filming new scenes for the movie while on location ,along with her new short hairdo. Director Tyler Perry and Janet’s co-star Kimberly Elise joined in to film more scenes. Read the rest of this entry »

Top critics gave Tyler Perry’s ‘Why Did I Get Married Too’ poor reviews. Lionsgate released their new Tyler Perry Flick “Why Did I Get Married Too” in theaters today,and it got some pretty poor reviews from top movie critics. Most of the movie critics were shut out from reviewing this movie. However, a couple of them submitted their reviews to Rotten Tomatoes,and they didn’t sound too pleased with it. The movie stars: Tyler Perry, Sharon Leal, Janet Jackson, Malik Yoba, Jill Scott, Lamman Rucker, Richard T. Jones, Tasha Smith, Michael J. White, Cicely Tyson, and Louis Gossett Jr.

Rob Humanick at Slant Magazine said, “For the prolific Tyler Perry, Why Did I Get Married Too? is nothing if not more of the same.” Wilson Morales at Blackfilm.com stated, ‘Married Too?’ isn’t the perfect film about the challenges of being married, but Perry brings enough issues to the table to enlighten and entertain the audience.” Read the rest of this entry »

Tyler Perry to get sued for $100,000 over a Devil song. According to TMZ, big time movie star, Tyler Perry is about to get sued for a whopping $100,000 dollars over a song about the Devil. They say Tyler Perry is being accused of using a Gospel song on his TV show called “Meet the Browns” without getting permission from the copyright holder. The song was sung in a 2009 episode of the show where seven of the characters sang the words, “The Devil thought he had me,but I got away.”

Now, a new lawsuit was filed yesterday in the federal court in Los Angeles,California by a songwriter named Johnny Tyrone Stringfield. He claims that the lyrics came from his song entitled, “I Got Away,” Read the rest of this entry »

Lionsgate released their new, full, theatrical movie trailer (below) for Tyler Perry’s latest creation, “Why Did I Get Married Two?” movie. It’s a comedy/drama. However, from viewing this trailer, it looks much more like a drama,with lots of it. It gets real intense and Janet Jackson ends up looking like a wreck at the end of the clip. Tyler Perry’s mother died yesterday at age 64. According to MTV news, Willie Maxine Perry died yesterday. She was 64 years old. She was the inspiration behind his popular and funny Madea characters. They say Tyler Perry announced that she died on his website yesterday afternoon.

He stated a brief message saying, “Willie Maxine Perry, February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009.” He displayed a picture next to the text,which showed himself posing with her on the red carpet at the “Madea’s Family Reunion” premiere. He also said, “Thank you for all your prayers.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Tyler Perry has said in the past that he based his most popular and funny “Madea” character on his mother. Read the rest of this entry »
