New ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ Delivered Pretty Good Thrills And Abrupt,Weird Ending
New ‘Paranormal Activity 3’ delivered pretty good thrills and abrupt, weird ending. Paramount Pictures delivered their third installment of the horror/thriller “Paranormal Activity” franchise this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was ok. It delivered some pretty good “edge of your seat” thrills, coupled with a very freaky, abrupt ending, which I’m still trying to figure out. All I know, is it left some people very dead. The movie stars: Katie Featherston, Sprague Grayden, and Lauren Bittner.
The new flick went back to 1988 when Katie and Kristi were just little girls. There mother Julie was married to a wedding photographer named Dennis who liked to video tape everything. Everything seemed nice and happy at first, but like all these movies, things quickly changed for the worse, starting with their first ghostly experience. It was an earthquake-like shaking of the house that freaked everyone out.
As the movie progressed along, little Kristi started taking orders from who she claims, was an imaginary friend named Toby. This eventually started to wear thin on the parents as they would see her running around the house late at night on the video cameras.
They also saw the baby sitter getting spooked out of her freaking mind in one of the cameras. This caused Dennis to want to find out what the haunting was even more. However, one event really changed the path of the movie. Dennis’ friend Randy played the Bloody Marry game with Katie after Katie insisted.
It caused Randy to get scratched really bad. Then chairs and other debris started flying around the room. After this event, the haunting action really picked up,and eventually drove them to Julie’s mother’s house, which, apparently, turned out to be a very bad idea. Once they got there, the freak show went full blast, causing some people to get killed. Katie appeared to be possessed, and it capped off there with a weird, strange conclusion.
I thought the movie was very interesting to watch. There was a never a dull moment in it. I’m not a 100 percent sure on this, but it looked like Julie’s mother was into some freaky stuff, plus she expressed concerns about Julie marrying Dennis earlier in the movie,so it looks like she had it in for them.
Also, the Bloody Marry stuff didn’t help either, but the ghosts were appearing before that. I gave the movie a solid B rating. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
