‘The Hangover’ Movie Sequel Has Been In The Works

“The Hangover” movie has seen a lot of box office success as of late as it is still number one . One might think that the decision for a sequel was made after the success occurred, but with this particular movie, that is not the case. Apparently Warner Bros. had already decided to go through with plans for a sequel two months before the movie came out according to Variety who actually ran the story back in April of 2009.
They reported that the film tested strongly at the time so they went ahead and made the decision to hire the director Todd Phillips to write a sequel with Scot Armstrong. Will Ferrell Says There May Be An ‘Anchorman’ Movie Sequel

According to my sources Will Ferrell has been talking with the producers of the original “Anchorman : The Legend of Ron Burgundy” movie that was released back in 2004 which also included stars, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and Christina Applegate. They also say that Will Ferrell told Australian radio DJs that he’s going to be meeting with all the guys from the original cast so they can figure out how they’re going to put the sequel together.
There obviously isn’t any plot details yet,but I imagine that a lot of that will be determined by whether or not they can get the full original cast to return .The original cast has some big names who have all been pretty busy as of late. However, I’m sure if the money is right, they can make it work. I do hope they make a sequel because the first one was really funny.
Possible ‘X-Men’ Sequels and Spinoffs in The Works

With the opening, weekend box office success of “X-Men Origins : Wolverine”, there is no doubt that there will be at least a sequel or two. But also there are more spinoffs in the works for this franchise. The first and most likely one to date, which I already knew about since I reported on it a couple of months ago is “X-Men Origins : Magneto” which will trace back to the early years of Eric Lensherr and Charles Xavier ,and how they eventually become enemies after being friends at first. This particular spinoff has actually been waiting in the wings for some time now. The writer / director , David Goyle said it’s release would be contingent on the success of the “Wolverine” film so I’m pretty sure it’s going to get green lighted. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Dragonball Evolution’ May Already Be In The Works

I’ve heard from a couple of my sources that a script for the sequel has already been written, but that the director of the film, James Wong doesn’t want to jump the gun ,and say that the script is in existence. I can understand that. They want to wait and see how this first installment does at the box office next week on April 10,2009. But folks, let me tell you if there is indeed a script already written, and this movie does as well as I think it will do. Then there will definitely be a sequel to this bad boy.
The movie trailer looks awesome with a lot of fighting and special effects. That kind of stuff is always a big draw. The only thing I think would make this movie sink at the box office, is poor marketing. I haven’t seen a whole lot of tv spots for it yet,and there’s only a week left to crank them out before their first opening weekend premier. Read the rest of this entry »
