Paranormal Activity 2 Movie Delivered Scary Scenes But Lacked A Bit
Paranormal Activity 2 movie delivered scary scenes but lacked a bit. Paramount Pictures released their new horror/thriller,sequel flick “Paranormal Activity 2” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was ok. They showed some good scary scenes, but I don’t think it was as good as the first movie, and it seemed to be more of a prequel than a sequel as it had that same Katie girl in it from the first movie, before she got possessed. The movie was directed by Tod Williams.
“Paranormal Activity 2” revolved around a family of four: a husband, wife, daughter, and baby boy. They move into a house with a nanny who is apparently into spiritual stuff as well. The movie kind of drags along for about the first 30 minutes, but then things start to happen, causing the nanny to realize there are evil spirits in the house.
She tries to smoke them out,but the husband fires her because he wasn’t into that sort of thing. Eventually the hauntings start to get worse, and the wife gets possessed. The husband panics and calls the nanny back to help transfer the evil spirit out of the house to a relative. The relative happened to be Katie from the first movie. She was the sister of the wife.
The evil spirit transfer causes horrible consequences to come back on the family, and it ends ugly. The movie delivered some crazy scenes, which included: the wife getting dragged down a flight of stairs and into the basement, the baby being lifted out of the bed, doors slamming, and cabinets busting open. It was pretty wild.
I thought the movie was ok as it did entertain me. However,it did drag along quite a while before anything happened, and it seemed to lack the really chilling thrills that the first movie delivered. A gave the movie a C+. “Paranormal Activity 2” movie is in theaters now. Buy advance tickets to Paranormal Activity 2 and receive a free download of the first movie on iTunes.
I just saw this this afternoon and I must say I really enjoyed it. I am one of those who come on foot in the theater and film as it comes.
